The same people (Douthat, Weiss) who think having their ideas criticized counts as ideological policing are the same ones who can't describe oppositional ideas without using pejoratives.
This isn't about free speech, it is about having their opinions be the dominant voice in society. They would have no problem silencing those they consider 'woke'.
