Joe Walsh is a Fundamentally Ridiculous Person

Here's the rest of it:

"That’s wrong. Really wrong. And there should be a law against it. And if you can’t call out BOTH the Biden family AND the Trump family on this, you’re just an uber partisan not truly interested in reforming what’s broken."

This is absolutely vintage 2016 Matthew Dowd-brand Both Siderist garbage from the days before it all blew up in Dowd's face.

Before Dowd began instantly blocking anyone who even lightly brushed up against his inconvenient past.

Before he entered MSNBC's Witless Protection Program and got his reputation laundered, fluffed and folded by his fellow Bush-regime dead ender pals who run that program at MSNBC.

Before Dowd nuked his entire Twitter archive to destroy the evidence of his cupidity and hypocrisy.  Like this very Tweet here --

Either you care both about Trump being sexual predator & Clinton emails, or u care about neither. But don't talk about one without the other  — Matthew Dowd (@matthewjdowd) November 1, 2016

-- which, is why I described Walsh's Tweet from today as vintage 2016 Matthew Dowd-brand Both Siderist garbage.  And which, along with dozens of others, survives in plain-text form on this blog because someone had the good sense to embed such things in blog posts, because someone had a pretty good idea that Dowd might be just the sort of big-talking media coward who would immediately whitewash his past and re-invent himself once the going got rough.

So now Joey Muskets has picked up that filthy torch, because let's face it, at the end of the day, Joe Walsh has nothing left.  He still really despises Liberals and he still volubly defends the indefensibly idiotic planks of his indefensibly idiotic "Tea Party/Libertarian" Conservatism, but except for a loud voice and monologues on the most stultifyingly obvious shit delivered by slow freight, Walsh bring nothing to the table.

But Walsh also has a few of contacts left in the non-Fox media, and is a reliable Both Siderist, which one might suspect is why he is a frequent "invitee" on CNN.  Which, one might also suspect, is why he rose in such swift and voluble defense --

-- of CNN's indefensible Town Hall shit show.

So, with "allies" like these, who needs enemies?

It's like what I call "both-sides-use-shovels" both-siderism.

One side uses shovels to plant trees. The other side uses shovels to bash people's brains in. Therefore, what We Should Be Focusing On™ is the fact that Both Sides® use shovels, therefore the tree-planters are Just As Bad™ as the brain-bashers. You either care about both the tree-planting and the brain-bashing, or neither; if you criticize the brain-bashers but not the tree-planters, you're a hypocrite.

Hello again! (That guy again?!)

BothSides™ really gets around, doesn't it?

Financial Times has a threatening little auto-blurb that prints when you attempt to C&P text from one of their articles, so I'll just share the name of the article and suggest that y'all check it out:

'Spectacle of lies': the blowback from CNN's town hall with Donald Trump

The particular quote which rang out to me appears about a third of the way down the article text, and is from David Zaslav. I have no doubt you'll notice it.

I think I can be less reserved about sharing this analysis/opinion from Robert Reich.

Everybody Knows, indeed.

Thanks for all y'all do.
