The Return of The Both Siderists Featuring Beltway Gaseous Anomaly J. Claggett Danforth

Ha!  Fooled ya!  The title of this post is a lie. The Both Siderists couldn't've returned because they never left.

Both Siderists function as a kind of anti-kidney within the American body politic -- they exist to filter poison into the culture to keep it weak, confused and vulnerable to a panoply of other derangements.

So now that Trump is a dim and distant memory, The New York Times' David Brooks could get back to pumping out the Both Siderist sludge that the House of Sulzberger pays him for.  And he came out swinging against teachers and Black Lives Matter.

The Washington Post's Michael Gerson can continue the important work of to laundering his party's despicable past and kicking some Liberals in the shins on his way there ("It's  Not Trumpism, It's Republicanism:  Part 12,091-- The Gersoning"):

The task of marginalization will also be more difficult if those on the left try to lump all conservatives into Trump’s camp — arguing that fascism is somehow the natural destination of Barry Goldwater’s nomination or Ronald Reagan’s presidency. This is utter rubbish.

Since Adam Kinzinger is running for president of David Brooks' Imaginary Whig Party, so after a long lament over how the GOP has gone to the dogs over the past four years, he cautions that his party risks becoming as bad as the Left!  Oh noes!

Will we [Republicans] join the Left to take America backwards, or will this Republican Party lead America forward and upward?

Rich Lowry would lose his organic integrity if he wasn't constantly lying about the Left, especially now that we have installed our new Evil Commie Overlord, Joe Biden, so this happened:
Which was quickly picked up and fawned over by Larry "We have COVID completely under control" Kudlow on Treason Teevee:

And which I'm sure will in no way affect Lowry's side hustle as a Respected Conservatives Thinker on Meet the Press.

Politico is still Politco:

And while Beltway gaseous anomaly and former senator from Missouri, J. Claggett Danforth, regrets cobbling John Hawley together in a lab and turning him loose on America, what he really needs is for everyone to agree that the ruin of his beloved senate was triggered when Democrat Harry Reid capriciously wrecked regular order (he didn't), and peaked when The Resistance ("with a capital 'R'!") tried to block Donald Trump's despicable agenda.

Of course there is the small matter of the eight years during which Barack Obama tried to conduct government business in exactly the manner which J. Claggett Danforth now extols as virtuous and good...and to which J. Claggett Danforth's party responded with eight years of sabotage, obstruction, slander, rage, racism and unhinged conspiracy mongering.  But those eight, ugly years of recent Republican history -- years which led directly to the rise of Trump -- would be hugely inconvenient if anyone interjected it into the middle of J. Claggett Danforth's disquisition on the topic of How Democrats Messed Everything Up.

And so  J. Claggett Danforth's sallied forth to a safe space from which to deliver his revisionist evangel -- a place where he knew there would be no pushback at all.

The next Republican or "conservative" pundit who describes any Democratic, "liberal" or "progressive" policy position correctly, accurately, and without distortion or embellishment, will be the first I've ever heard.

I can tell you me and my side doesn't get invited or booked on FOX and I haven't been invited to a KKK Cross burning to give a speech.
Not even a NAZI Hitler boot licking event.

I am being silenced!
