“Every revolutionary idea seems to evoke three stages of reaction. They may be summed up by the phrases: 1- It's completely impossible. 2- It's possible, but it's not worth doing. 3- I said it was a good idea all along. ” -- Arthur C. Clarke, writer

Marcy Wheeler wrote a post this week that said pretty much what you guys said here and called it "The Division of Labor" or something. It seems like the goddamn media is forever chastising us for not having some goddamn magical power to sell everyone who voted for Fergus on the idea that he is bad for the country and /or just wholesale stop him from being the goddamn president.
There was a Democratic congressman in some Midwestern state who did exactly what you suggested: held his townhall on the very edge of his district and invited the constituents of the neighboring Republican district to attend. OK. I just looked it up and it was Pocan inviting Van Orden constituents, and Van Orden himself to the townhall.
Thanks again for the podcast, and thanks for watching the god forsaken speech. As it sometimes does out here in the sticks when it snows, the internet went down Tuesday morning and didn't come back up until Wednesday afternoon, so we were spared even the temptation of watching the blasted thing live. I was not gonna watch at all. It's not like I could avoid finding out what specific bilge he spewed if I tried, so I didn't really miss anything.
Really, if we can just survive the next three years and change, then there will never be another Fergus SOTU to have to endure ever again, and that's at least something to look forward to.
P.S. Navarro isn't any crazier than most of Fergus' cabinet.

Oh, I almost forgot to congratulate you on having a governor who is not a reptile who invites Charlie the fuck Kirk on his podcast and throws trans people under the bus.
