A difficult assignment to be sure, but not impossible. In fact, highly likely. Because when Republicans desperate to wipe out an their
inconvenient past, blame a few bad apples for what happened to their party,
and get back to the "good old days" join forces with a mainstream media
equally desperate to wipe out their complicity and get back to the good old
days of horseraces and Both Side Do It...expect miracles.
After all they did it before.
Not so very long ago, during the Era About Which None Dare Speak, these same
two institutions -- a depraved Republican party and a corrupt mainstream
media -- conspired to bury the entire history of the Bush administration
beneath a mile of "No Fair Remembering Stuff" fast-setting concrete and allow the millions
of bigots and imbeciles who hooted and cheered for Bush and Cheney for eight
years to suddenly vanish and be replaced by a hooting, cheering mob of
Independent Constitutional Conservative Teabaggers who swore they'd never
heard of Bush or Cheney.

This is so funny. A month or so ago I was looking through my Facebook archive. I'd long since deleted my account but I DLd everything first and one thing that caught my eye as I was scrolling through was when I posted a link to the original Bush-Belly Sneetches cause I could see the picture. I even sent that one to my old man back in the day even though we didn't really talk at that point but he loved The Sneetches. And sending my dad a link back then meant sending it to my mom, who checked her email every few weeks and if there was something for my dad she would print it out and give it to him. If he had a reply, he would write it on the back and she would send you an email with what it said. Not that he was stupid. He had 2 PhDs. He was just an asshole.

Thing is, they've gotta have something to plug that Trump-shaped hole with, don't they? As far as Trump "dissapearing", he's not pulling a Bush Jr. "for the sake of the Party". He Will Not Be Ignored! Maybe if he goes to jail, which is HIGHLY unlikely because rich (or even "rich") white guy in America. It would/will be something to see all the MAGA droppings politicians suddenly disremember the name Trump, but don't they need a new Tea Party or something? And its gonna be really rich (and amusing) seeing anamatronic puppets like DeSantis, Vance, MGT etc. Fight over who claims the mandate of Heaven from Trump.
There is NO, NO emplacement for MAGA . No Trump No MAGA, No QANON, NO Putin if your listening.
Wheb American Olympic competitors when medals there is a sense of pride in it as they repressed us in the Games. Not the same as when one of my kids won games in sprots with their team as they were young and we celebrated.
I know this, I am incapable of understanding how Trump/ Vance and other republicans despise America's Olympic wins. It is as if it took the Gold medal away from them personally or something.
