Professional Left Podcast Episode 808: Convicted Felon

"If you had it all to do over again, you'd do no differently. You're like the thief who isn't the least bit sorry he stole but he's terribly terribly sorry he's going to jail." -- Rhett Butler, Gone with the Wind

What about the liar who lies about his lying and lies that he lies?

They were squeamish about calling liars liars? I used to be able to find a clip of it on YouTube but had no luck just now, but there is a wonderful scene in the movie "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean" where Paul Newman, who has angered a group of women by referring to them as "your whores" to their menfolk to the point where they are in a stagecoach ready to leave town, so he goes up to them to apologize by telling them "I apologize for calling you whores, but you will note that I did not call you..." and then launches into a stream of invective that began with "calloused assed gutter sluts"...
So it's not just courage these media creatures are lacking, it's also creativity.
