That "They made us be racists" argument is obvious bullshit. Pretend for a moment that some goddamn Republican really isn't a racist, hasn't ever even thought about race relations somehow. If, after being accused of being a racist, they decide FOR WHATEVER REASON that now they have to act like racists, then guess what? They were always racists. Always. If that is their first goddamn reaction to being exposed to racial tension, they were a goddamn racist. If their first reaction was to question the actual treatment and lived experience of people of color, then they were not. They may decide to become racist after examination, but they weren't inherently already racist. It's really not that difficult.
GO J.B.!
Briana has made a project of her cousin's support for Fergus when her cousin claims to be a Christian. Her cousin so far hasn't simply waved off the evidence, so Briana still saves things to present to her that call Fergus' connection to Christ into question or show a more genuine connection in those Democrats her cousin tends to write off as evil. Briana has found humor to be the most effective communications strategy, and although I doubt her cousin will be swayed, I admire Briana's persistence. It's apparently harder to just write folks off as garbage people when you know them well and/or are related to them. I like her cousin, she raises some delicious beef.
Thank you again for the podcast. It came a thunderstorm this morning. So that's what? Rain two weeks in a row while it's technically still summer? We may live through this after all.
