Now why can't the NYT do that? What are editors for? Does DFB have some sort of no-cut, no-edit contract? With the trade deadline coming up, maybe they could get an offer from the NY Post.

I did my own Drigftglass-ish diatribe last night. Part in the Times comments section. Most after I decided I just had to get it out. Behold, a truncated version:

David Brooks acts as an ineffectual stool softener for the right wing turd that makes you feel like you should spend a little more time on the toilet. He's recently been not terrible on some issues. Today's column shows how he's managed to smooth the neurological pathways in his brain to absolve himself of any culpability in our current terrors.
Today's take proposes that racial animosity is caused by Liberals identifying racial animosity.
That's an opinion he might want to back up with real facts, figures, specificity.
LOTFL! This is Brooks we're talking about. He has one of the most high-profile - and lucrative - positions in American opinion making. The LAST thing he wants to do is illuminate difficult truths, when academic-sounding gobbledygook will do just fine.

How would Texas republican's correct DFB's writings?

WE know trey have a long list of books banned now from libraries and open access to school students.

And books like Mien Kompf or Flush Limbaugh are not among the Tabooed readings.

The inherent problem with this is going to be the right wing and Religious zealot right running out of evils to ban . Once it all is banned and there is no knowledge of any of it. lost is their resources for the naughty material to stuff their evil strawmen to burn at the stake.
