The Great Gig in the Sky

After racking up an impressive record of zero electoral wins in 2020 and a net increase in Republican voter turnout of ten million votes, the Lincoln Lads are taking their "Save The Republic!" magic on the road to...Israel?

Wait...what?

[checks notes]

Yep, Israel.

The core Lincoln Project team -- Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, Stuart Stevens and Reed Galen -- are decamping themselves from our our now-cleansed and redeemed shores to take up the cause of Israel's  New Hope party (from the AP) --

Netanyahu rival hires anti-Trump Lincoln Project founders

Israel’s top rival to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is getting some American help ahead of March 23 elections.

Gideon Saar, a onetime Netanyahu protege, has hired four of the founders of the Lincoln Project, which ran a relentless campaign to help defeat President Donald Trump. The hiring was first reported by Israel’s Channel 12 TV and confirmed by a member of Saar’s campaign. The campaign official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was discussing internal strategy.

Lincoln Project founders Steve Schmidt, Rick Wilson, Stuart Stevens and Reed Galen were among the leaders of the effort to draw Republicans from Trump’s reelection effort centered on the president’s ethics and moral leadership. The Lincoln Project’s stated mission is to hold public leaders “accountable.”...

-- which was invented just over a month ago and is led by a person named Gideon Sa'ar about whom I know nothing but what I read on Wikipedia.

I guess now that they've saved democracy here and completed the hard, exhausting work of dismantled the Republican Monster Machine which they spent their adult lives building, they had some spare time on their hands, so hey, why not jet across the pond l and dive head-first into Israeli politics?

Behold, a Tip Jar!

Israel, of course, is a tiny fraction of the size of the US and largely urban. The Lincoln Project had minimal actual impact on the US election of course, which was decided on well developed hatred of Trump and the pandemic. Anyway, in a much more plugged in and educated political environment than the US, they could well have an impact on the political scene. Or not. We’ll see.

many a patriot are in tears of great sadness. They cannot threaten people on Parlor or Twit or Facebook. What is a hateful violent right winger to do now?

Someone like McConnell in big GOP Government should do something about this.
