Of course in the wake of the bloody Republican Insurrection of 01/06/21, paying the Junior Insurrectionist from Missouri to publish his slab of propaganda would be an inherently unclean act.
Any idiot can see that, which is why Simon & Schuster washed their hands of Hawley's filth and canceled the deal.
[This is where I would've embedded my clever Tweets on the subject, which would have reduced you to breathless tears for how funny they were! But since replying to a Republican who decided to step to me on Twitter by calling them "trash" is now a permanent exile offence on Twitter, my almost-lethally clever takes on Simon & Schuster are now lost to history.
Sad!]
Suffice it to say that many "Attaboys" were delivered to Simon & Schuster when they announced that of course they were pulling the contract --
"We did not come to this decision lightly... As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: at the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom."
-- and many "Ha Ha, Fuck Yous" were delivered to Senator Hawley when he announced that not having his trash published by a private company was a violation of his First Amendment rights.
And there things sat, until Simon & Schuster called in the publishing industry's equivalent of the shabbos goy. From Wikipedia:
A shabbos goy is a non-Jew who performs certain activities which Jewish religious law (halakha) prohibits a Jew from doing on the Sabbath.
There are numerous restrictions and certain types of work are prohibited, such as contractor work.
Enter Regnery Press. From CNN:
Sen. Josh Hawley finds new publisher after Simon & Schuster dropped book
Republican Sen. Josh Hawley's forthcoming book will now be published by conservative publishing house Regnery Publishing after it was dropped by Simon & Schuster earlier this month following the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol building.
Regnery will publish Hawley's book, titled "The Tyranny of Big Tech," in the spring, according to a news release from the publisher.
The Missouri senator has fielded a wave of backlash in the days since January 6, when he and other Republicans in Congress raised objections to the counting of some Electoral College votes for Joe Biden, pushing false claims of voter fraud that were echoed by members of the mob incited by President Donald Trump...
And who distributes the filth that Regnery Press produces?
Simon & Schuster cancels Senator Hawley’s book. Now Regnery has picked it up. Guess who distributes Regnery? Simon & Schuster. 🤦🏻

And the circle of capitalism is complete.

If Hawley does appearances with Madison Cawthorn do they bill their act as Master Blaster?
wait...wut?
Pretty much what I figured would happen. I'm guessing that most of the corporate "moral outrage" will be fleeting and a few months from now all this will be lost down the collective memory hole. Plenty of time for the media to buff-up and repair the seditious wingnuts reputations and full their coffers for the next election cycle.
Well, then there's this headline (followed by link).
Hundreds in publishing sign letter objecting to book deals for the Trump administration, Los Angeles Times (https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/books/story/2021-01-15/book-world-signs-letter-to-block-trump-book-deals)
This would be where I point out that being so blind loyal to a president who can incited you to storm the Congress to snuff fellow American voting because you lost. Vandalizing and even killing a cop in your way. Beating a cop with your American flag.
Displaying this patriotic Loyalty and declaring yourself the superior race who will decide for everyone else.
When you steal Speaker Pelosi's laptop out of her office and want to sell it to Russia.
I demand you define a couple of your ideological strong points you claim of yourselves.
1) How is killing a cop pro life?
2) How does vandalizing the capital building that belongs to me too, that I pay for it as well. Make you special?
How does loyalty to a single man cause you to over turn the very constitution you proudly cite you love so much are willing to discard for that one guy>
I dare question their patriotism, their faith, their adherence to the constitution.
Never will I accept you deciding if my vote counts or not. And for the Rudy who calls for "combat". There are many out here that are willing to accept your cage match no holds barred , Rudy?
Senator Josh at the onset of the capital invasion. Took refuge behind the police. He never walked out to meet and great his great republican patriots as they raped the constitution in broad daylight just like Trump said he could do and get away with.
I can at least tweet your blog posts for you.
Many thanks!
I put off any new years celebrating until Jan 20 for personal reasons.
So, Happy New Year everyone.
One of my New year resolutions is to continue to confront my deep QANON representation.
Or to use their generic name, Republican's.
How much of a vulnerable mind must one have to believe Josh Hawly is for the working guy. He is one of the militia patriots?
This is a kid who was born to a wealthy banker family. silver spoon fed, paid private schiils to ensure the right grades (even those not earned). Put through college and arrainged through the Federalist Society to clerk for the Conservative SCOTUS Justice.
Truly in tune with the REEA Potters and QANON or Proud Bous. No skill and bones for Josh.
Just one of those average American people who needs a good paying job. A guy who hates socialism but sought out a job in public service to be paid by socialism (tax payers) get his health care from tax payers.
I guess he couldn't make it in the private sector so his parents pulled the Federalist string and donated to republicans enough to be one of them to call in a favor.
I figure Tom Cotton in the GOP 2024 sweepstakes is not so concerned with his competition.
What does Real Time (Maher) and Dancing with the stars now have in common?
Disgraced Loser guests no one wants to see or hear.
It is like the Road Kill Diner.
