You mean "Constitutional Conservatives".

A humble correction - Blue Gal said that it's a 5-4 Court. Unfortunately, it is now a 6-3 Court.

My Pillow Guy now offering his republican victimhood Pillow for those tht might have a new home in a federal prison.

Makes a great MAGA gift to make them feel at home in their cells.

The Crucifix pillow.

The pillow is shaped in likeness of the Crucifix. To rest you sorry head on in prison for the best MAGA support of your republican victimhood and superior race.

Mu senator office notified me in 2017 at the moment of tax cut borrowing n a time of debt. He is no longer a fiscal Conservative. He is now a Constitutional Conservative and it is sort of like a constitutional originalist. Meaning Corporations are not in the Bill of Rights and are not people?
We'll, he is willing to overlook that part.

I have requested a copy of this conservative constitution of the constitutional conservatives.
Seems the mail is really slow.
I figure republican metamorphosis being what it is, shortly after Biden is inaugurated, he will return to the Fiscal conservatism superiority he once thought he saw in the mirror.

Yeah, even before the Rude Pundit wrote his post about it this week I was shouting to whoever would listen that we tried to deal with these fucks back in 2009 but the fit the Republicans threw effectively cemented their continued presence. I seem to remember that at the time I was saying shit like "Oh, so y'all admit to being the terrorists, then?"
They didn't listen. Same as it ever was.
What surprised me about the Jared and Ivanka toilet story is that they didn't seem like they even tried to get their hands in that particular cookie jar. It would have been much more in character for them to have found a Fergus owned shitter to charge the Secret Service for access to, like Fergus does at his golf courses.
Let me restate that: Like Fergus used to do at his golf courses.
That's all over now, baby blue. (I hope, anyway, he won't still get to grift off of his SS detail, will he?)
I keep seeing these news articles with headlines proclaiming how Fergus is facing the first ever real consequence for his actions and speculating about what that might be doing to his mental state, and I'm like who could possibly give two hairs on a rat's furry ass about how it's making Fergus feel to be held accountable for inciting an armed insurrection against the capitol building to try and overthrow the goddamn government?
My dad wasn't a very emotional guy, so that's why it stands out in my memory how obviously angry he used to get over the student radicals in the sixties who he said wanted to overthrow the government.
But now it's the goddamn Republicans who are still trying to overthrow the government, so that there are more than 20K national guard troops in DC and state capitols are on high alert, and we student radicals went the establishment route and just won the damn election to get our most middle of the road candidate elected.
And it worked. We won.
Now it's fucking go time, and we have about a year to try and fix as much of the damage as we can and maybe get some of our policies thrown in while we do it. Like the minimum wage hike in the rescue package.
Perhaps being sixty years old really has blunted my radical edge, and those intervening decades since I was an outlaw have made me reconsider the law itself, or maybe it's just a genuinely good thing that we elected Biden and clawed back the senate with our fingernails...
Thank you again for the podcast. It's just my own opinion, but I feel like Blue Gal's mirth is entirely appropriate. Remember what Molly Ivins said about freedom fighting: Have fun doing it, because we don't always win and it might end up being the only fun you get to have.
