Paging 2016 Matthew Dowd

One of the reasons I monitor transmissions from the Bizarro World of The Bulwark podcast is that it's a cheap and plentiful source of accidental humor, especially for those of us who have been cast out of Twitter forever.

For example, before they even got to the 13 minute mark, I got three separate laughs out of an exchange between former Florida-congressman-for-five-minutes David Jolly, and podcast host Charlie Sykes.

First laugh came when Messers Sykes and Jolly were both shocked!and!appalled! by the cravenness and naked intellectual cowardice of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's attempt at blaming the 01/06/2021 Republican insurrection on "everyone".  They even brought quotes from Hannah Arendt to the table --

Where all are guilty, no one is; confessions of collective guilt are the best possible safeguard against the discovery of culprits...

-- to underscore how mortified they were by McCarthy's mendacious bullshit.

I laughed wondering which poor Bulwark intern is going to break it to them that their very good friend, frequent podcast guest and advisor to The Lincoln Project, Tom Nichols, made exactly the same craven, cowardly argument in good, gray pages of The Atlantic at virtually the same time that McCarthy was shooting off his bazoo.  See "Tom Nichols: New Apple, Same Razor" here for details.

Second, I got a gritted, bitter chuckle out of David Jolly announcing that he is very seriously considering a run for governor in Florida based on "the brand" he built "on cable news".  So please, please don't tell me it doesn't matter who gets unlimited free air time on cable teevee and who doesn't.

And third, can you guess ahy is David Jolly is considering a run for governor in Florida as an In-Dee-Pendent?

It's because, and I quote, we need to "disrupt the duopoly we have today!"

This is where I started laughing the crazy laugh (See, "So, Four Years Later, How's That Whole "Disrupt The K'rupt Duopoly!" Thing Working Out?") and haven't stopped since.

So let's be clear here.

There's a REASON for "Both Sides Do It."

Yes, as a means of escaping accountability.

Yes, as a media lie, told over and over again.

But it's more insidious than that.

What if Liberalism and Libertarianism had sex and had a baby?

This is what they want. Pure unaccountability. Pure shamelessness. Pure "Fucking Peons Know Your Place."

A gay jewish editor was fired...and Maggie Haberman has...zero thoughts.

A think tank writer was canned for an anodyne tweet.

This was the REAL POWER in America flexing its muscles...along with the "elitist" Joe Biden watch article, the cautious, credulous articles about Mitch McConnell, etc.

"YOU MAY HAVE AVOIDED OUR COUP. BUT WE'RE STILL IN FUCKING CHARGE."

It was a message. GG and Michael Tracy and the other media muppets heard it.

Will the so called liberal media hear it?

--'Don't tell me it doesn't matter who gets free unlimited air time on cable teevee --

That's NOT what I'm going to tell you.
In that, you have half an amount of what does matter, I'm telling you.

I am going to tell you what wholey matters in the subject of breeding a/our/your/any SOCIETY's citizen's thoughts' behaviors' LIFE being lived ... more or less ... or not.

What matters is who gets airtime of free amount in control. And how it's gotten.
What who where when why. And how.

"cable teevee" is half what matters lately. A/our/your/any life's thought-of behavior comes of that 'cabled' subject.
What matters latter day. Living 2021.

Before time, (you missed), what matters is TV in your life.
Before then, (I missed), what matters is radio heard.
Before, life is lived of newspapers.
Before, life of letters, who read and wrote, fulfilled all in amount.
Before, voice ...tells whoever listens.
Before, territory ...tells who gets and who doesn't. Tells whoever crosses the property.

After now, what matters is who accesses in&of worldwide web. (spider or coma'd fly body: choose you. aka 'publish or perish': choose yours.)
I'm telling you.

And the sum of all along is in -- descended to -- each of us today; we are each the sum of all communicated time there was before. "Cable teevee" is the half of it. The fuller half is yet descending, let's hope through our hands unto seven generations.

Rant sorry.

Not sorry.
