The Schooner Bay Beacon has a new publisher!
His name is Mark Finley and he graduated the "Columbia School of Journalism" just the week before and has the job because his daddy gave it to him. His ambitious, new editorial policy (which he hasn't gotten around to actually writing down) is to tackle the real issues of the day -- "slums, civil disorder, poverty" -- but in a way which does not offend anyone or is in any way "controversial". He also plans on eliminating some of the paper's more out-of-date features...but not right away because it would not do to offend the more out-of-date subscribers who still enjoy them.
He also doesn't want to do any actual work.
