Step 1: Build a Time Machine

Tell you what, Larry. I'll "raise the quality of our political and cultural discussion" for half of what it would take to raise that particular Titanic.

In cash.

Up front.

Do we have a deal?

Tell you what, Larry, why don't you and your criminal proteges disgorge some of that pelf you jacked out of Russia under the guise of liberalisation. That by itself should be enough to raise the quality of our political and cultural discussion to a veritable Second Golden Age of Athens.

The continued existence of Lawrence H. Summers as a self styled public intellectual is an insult to every legitimate scholar who ever set foot on the grounds of Harvard. If there were any justice, if that place were about anything other than Money and Power, kids who life books from Widener would be paroled for a semester while the Summerses would be expunged.

May I interrupt the serious stuff for some seasonal cuteness?

Harvard must be doing something right. Two weeks ago, the nice young Xian lady who heads my anxiety-management group, and the nice older Xian lady whose attendance is at least as good as mine, were both scoffing at an item they'd seen on Fox News about how Harvard students are "foolish" enough to think the US is more of a danger to the world than ISIS (which, of course, is exactly the case unless you have the bad luck to live in Iraq, Syria or a neighboring country, but I was too darn polite to point that out).

And there's never a bad time for Azumanga Christmas images, Mofti. I still break my chopsticks at our local Japanese restaurant and say "With this technique, Ah bet Ah could even git into college!" ^_^

Summers is such a dweeb, such a pathetic, drooling dickhead. A moron, an utter fool. I can't be ad hominem enough about this jackass. What a fucking idiot.

Is it okay if I just drop this off here?

Summers could singlehandedly "raise the quality of our political and cultural discussion" by keeping his big yap shut.
