How come Fergus failed to ban Muslims and Biden was able to get workers what they needed? Because Biden knows how things work and cares about that.
Molly Ivins said something similar about LBJ during Poppy Bush's administration, while defending the idea of electing someone of great political skill to the white house. She was talking about Bill Clinton at the time.
Sarah Vowell said something similar about elitism in one of her Daily Show appearances (referring to the Massachusetts Bay Puritans): those are the people she wanted running things, the people who know stuff.
It is both terrifying and maddening that Fergus has any chance at all in the upcoming election, but we can't take anything for granted: his idiot hordes came back in even greater numbers after four years of his destruction, so who knows how many of them will show up this time?
Thank you again for the podcast. Briana was reading some maddening chunk of news this morning and I tried to calm her down a little by reminding her that Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Roger Ailes, and Rush Limbaugh are all still dead.
