Good afternoon, DG and BG. Hope you have been well.

Not meaning to drop negativity in here, but... well, this shit makes me rage.

Never Back Down PAC goes begging

Okay... okay, yes, that is funny, but let's not miss this kidney-stone of a tidbit:

>>> Jankowski, Davison and Roe spent much of their presentation hyper-focused on former President Donald Trump and his inherent ability to out-gain all other GOP candidates in earned media, meaning organic and free coverage on television, online and in newsprint. Both Davison and Roe emphasized the positive impact Trump’s indictments are having on the former president’s White House bid, something they used to try and persuade donors to help them overcome.

“Donald Trump probably gets roughly at least $30 million of earned media every single day. We’re number two, with roughly $5 (million) to $6 million every single day. Where you see the spikes are after every indictment,” Davison said. “After every indictment, it goes up to $100 million of earned media, and in a presidential race, no news is bad news. What we really learned in 2016 is that Donald Trump dominated earned media and we see it happening now.”

Let's recall casually that we are talking about thirty million dollars in one single Dogdamned DAY.

Life-changing money for me and millions of other faceless American mooks, and the "LIBERAL" media gives that much coverage FOR FREE to someone who literally everyone, including his staunchest supporters and closest allies, knows is a two-faced backstabbing asshole and (almost certainly) a criminal.

How many billion, WITH A B, dollars in free media coverage did Trump get in 2015-16?

Oh - what's that you say, Mr. Moonves? Oh, it was just a joke? Just a joke? Didn't seem like a joke when your network and any other you could name was ignoring a substantive policy speech by one candidate to focus on an EMPTY PODIUM.

But what do I know.

No wait, I do know something; and you (DG) and BG covered it eloquently in your cast. I know that all the national media can say about Pres. Biden is that he's so old that everyone is worried about it. Oh and inflation inflation inflation. Even when they have to be dead dishonest about it.

Thank you media for an America so destructively uninformed that said lack of information has become a systemic pathology.

FUCK.

(I did warn you I was a bit ragey today. Sorry.)

Thank you for your long work documenting the shit show and its causal factors. Stay safe and enjoy your well-earned weekend.

Price controls, no.
Negotiated pricing for drugs, just like every other country in the world does.
CAPITALISM!!!!
OF course if Biden does it, its wrong!

Unlike in politics, the term "monster" is a high compliment among musicians.
Bruce Cockburn is a bona fide monster guitar player. My friend Jack and I have both been playing "Rocket Launcher" since right after it came out, and when we first played it together, he showed me how it was really played, which was slightly different from the way I had learned it. Along came YouTube and a quick examination of Bruce actually playing the song showed that Jack and I were both wrong. Oh well, it sounded good anyway. I really loved the interview Bruce did where they asked him how he came to visit Central America and write "Rocket Launcher"... He said that he was approached by someone who wanted to take him there "Which I immediately rejected because if they thought I was someone who had any business going to a war zone, they obviously couldn't be trusted."
Funny how things eventually work out.
Tucker thinks Fergus is going to be assassinated. Tucker is a goddamn moron.
Assassinating Fergus won't fix the Fergus problem, it'll just clear they way for the newer, more competent fascist asshole to lead the party. It's not Fergus who's the problem, it's the morons who want him to be the president. As long as they are still around, they'll find someone just as bad to promote.
Which is also one of Tucker's lies. He says that half the country supports Fergus, when that is not even remotely the case. Oh well, I guess he can dream.
Thank you again for the podcast. It's going to rain again tomorrow, so I can probably get away with saying that we survived the wildfire season this year.

Biden shows up to Florida over the disaster. Assures recovery assistance, hears first hand from local people and FEMA.
Makes sure he is out in the way and holds But the Florida )GOP) Governor cannot be seen with the nasty evil democratic president of all the United States. All the states that DeSantis is running to be president of but will only recognize GOP controlled states I am sure.

I notice Biden did not lecture Florida about raking their forests to prevent forest fires, He did not throw rolls of paper towels at the people. He did not find a crony pal who would kick back FEMA recover money to him if he chose him to come in on a contract and pretend he and his company are providing recover stuff.

For some reason Sen Rick Scott showed up and was respectful. No Rubio or congress person.

I hear the Gov. got his fingers stuck in a Pudding jar. Not wanting to emigres himself again. But reality for GOP adult Governors who are campaigning for president. Do not show up for even a photo OP.
Free publicity dude?

I wonder, Does DeSantis end up resigning after he realizes he lost the primary to that guy?? You know, like Sarah Palin after she had to return to perform a actual job? Ron may find himself on Dancing with the stars, yet.

Question;
Withy doesn't Labor Day cover retired folks? I tried to tell the wife it is a holiday from work (labor day) she had none of it. The lawn got mowed.
