Ep 741 No Fair Remembering Stuff Podcast: Consequences!

FYI, this is what the banner page of The Weekly Standard's Twitter page looked like in 2015.
Now remind me again about the Good Old Days of Conservative civility and bipartisanship.

"The consequences of an act affect the probability of its occurring again.  -- B. F. Skinner

Consequences. As with our corrupted justice system that has different courts/laws for wealthy, connected and the average common and poor . So consequences have different meanings and levels.

Some can wish and hope for karma. Pray for God to correct with notions of biblical wrath, plagues. Trials and tribulations bringing morals of the stories.

AS All things in Texas is big they say. State AG Ken Paxton
is being embarrassed (so far). Being impeached but the GOP state legislature and airing his dirty laundry.
We will see if there are real consequences.

Take Nixon, who arraigned a pardon from Ford and then proclaimed " Well if a president does IT, then it is legal". But he lost his position as president they say, isn't that harsh enough?

What were the consequences for Newt Gingrich> His hate, financial corruption, his lack of sanctity of marriage, bearing false witness while claiming he has God wrapped around his middle finger..
His own GOP house majority removed him from the speaker position and let him resign his position watthour legal charges for his actual crimes.

Newt went on to be a TV opportunist on the networks giving the Newt insight version of news of the day. He stays active in the GOP. He endorses candidates for a buck. On the speech circuit. Even ;in so tight to have Trump appoint his third with to be ambassador tot he Vatican in Tome.
To this day the Newt can still be seen and heard on the TV.
Not sure if he still sells those special Newt documents of accommodation from his exclusive Organization of business. Signed by Newt , Himself. Can;t recall what he charged for those accommodation documents of achievement.

Newt stayed out of prison. He did pay some fines and restitutions. He appears to live a comfortable lifestyle to this day.

Disgraced in my view, while others remain loyal helpful morons to him. God did not strike him with lightening or plagues of locusts.

And so it works for the Charlie Sykes and the other embed imbecilic hate and anarchy disease spreaders..

There is no insight he can enlighten my knowledge, yet thee
he is so often on the TV yakking.
Did he get tired of frothing up the QANON/MAGA? His radio listeners ended up hating him and threatening him so he moved on to mooch a pay check at the MSNBC.
Again, brings nothing to the discussion of value.

Not that I am defending or siding with Michael Coen. But when he was arrested and put back in prison after being released on conditions. He wrote a book and WAS promoting it. We all know Trump order AG Barr to put him back in the pokey. A judge heard this case and released Coen and blazed a fiery contempt for violating Coen's first Amendment right.

Who paid for that abuse of authority?

Recently, a local judge was reprimanded publicly with "stern words of disapproval_ for his action of fixing a ticket for his priest at his church.
Which makes me ask, was this the first time he did a favor? How many other judges have and are doing favors?
No, don't get me started on the SCOTUS and their billionaire generous pals.
