+ Tucker Carlson’s transformation from the brattish scion of a “Deep State” diplomat and former head of Voice of America to a bow-tie-wearing talk show smart-aleck into the white working-class tribune of Fox Populi is one of the greatest acts of political crossdressing in American history.
+ As in all these cases, Tucker’s offense wasn’t his racism or lies or on-air libels but threatening the bottom-line of the Boss. There are many more Tuckers being test-driven now in Rupert’s Body Shop.
+ Like many authoritarian demagogues, Tucker Carlson seems to be a truly weird person. His obsessions–filth, bizarre animal stories (“sex crazed pandas” and “psycho raccoons”), obesity, bodily excrescences, the subliminal gender messages in candy, testicle tanning–which he regularly inflicted on his audiences, range far beyond the usual tabloid grotesqueries and border on the pathological.
+ Still, we tend to vastly overstate the influence of cable-news bobbleheads like Tucker Carlson. On his best nights, Carlson had around 3 million watched his show for at least a couple of minutes, less than 1 percent of the US population. So, almost no one was watching him.

Should there be a place, Some sort of open zoo where these former great ones could be kept for present and future republicans can go and see them in their natural habitats?

Perhaps have a "petting zoo " part of the main Zoo. To allow republicans to continue to relish and workshop these religious republican historical GOP campions.

Perhaps a pyramid type GOP museum where MAGA could visit and actually see the ancient conservatives preserved and mummified in their great tombs.

The Tomb of Roger Ailes. The Billo petting zoo. See Tucker in the wild jungle exabit. Watch the feeding of Glenn Beck .

I really think this would be good for the GOP base. The GOP all around. They can do their campaign speeches from there, have their debates there. Do their praying at the tomb of Rusho.
I mean sure it is sarcasm, but I mean it in a positive way.

Tucker fucked around. Tucker found out. What, exactly, he found out remains to be seen, but if I never end up knowing that detail, I can't imagine myself being the poorer for it.
The both sides disease in the media is really acute in the debt ceiling fight.
"Will the Democrats negotiate???!!!"
Sure Quevin, here's the deal, you pass a clean increase, or better yet abolish the damn thing (we already fought in world war one, so the original reason for its existence is over) and in return you can go fuck yourself.
Or let Margie Three Toes do it for you, I can't care.
Thank you again for the podcast. Briana bought some powdered lion's mane mushrooms to see if they really can get brain cells to grow back, and I put them in our lunch today, although I get the feeling that that ship has sailed...

The GOP debt ceiling strategy of taking hostages and holding for ransom is not legislating.

I have a GOP House Representative who I summitted a cost savings proposal .
Instead of paying private industry Clergy to perform 90 second prayer moment before the House begins its day of work. They use tax payers dollars to provide this comfy benefit to congress. It is in the millions to perform this each year.
I have never seen any sign it provides and self reflection to House Representatives before passing laws aimed at harming people to benefit others.
Like any American each congressman has the freedom to attend any religious organization the wish. For some reason they use our money to give them the cloak of spirituality on the job.
What does it say about that Bible passage over he who prays in private has more meaning than the showman who does it in public for accolades.

The proposal? Our military already has Chaplains who are already on payroll. Use the military chaplains for this if they must have prayer moment on the job before they vote in corrupted sin to the highest bidder.

No reply, no comment . Dismissed as a peon constituent with no lobbying money or clout.

So if one was to take their Debt ceiling hostage strategy. Do you think this GOP Rip would pay more attention and take action if something of his personally was taken hostage and held for ransom?

I t is not my style or character to do such a thing to get a representative to do as I want. He wanted to represent me when he campaigned (he said).
What is the nudged it would take? I see he voted for the Debt ceiling ransom demand.
You see, I notice they did not cut one benefit or perk from Congress, (themselves) How about a work requirement for House
Reps and their families to receive full medical health care of the socialist kind?
Americans cannot afford their travel reimbursements anymore.
many workers do not get Pensions from their employers, Why do Americans fund Congresses?

What happens to investments of Americans like 401 K's by their Debt ceiling terrorist tactical legislating.
