Republican Strategist Goes Scorched Earth on CPAC ‘Scam,’ Rips ‘Professional Grassroots Huckster Wing of the GOP’
Republican strategist Mike Murphy torched the Conservative Political Action Conference for being a hotbed of grifters and cranks.
On Friday, MSNBC’s Alex Wagner aired a clip from the event where Donald Trump Jr. encouraged the CPAC audience to use an obscure Christian cellphone provider instead of a major carrier that might be woke or whatever.
Wagner said CPAC today is not what it once was and asked, “What does CPAC tell us about the modern Republican Party? Is it just one big grift?”
She welcomed Murphy to the program to help answer this question, who pointed the finger at former President Donald Trump...
This frantic, all-out campaign to pretend that everything bad about the Republican Party began with Trump is, yes, silly and stupid and wrong. But it's also toxic, deeply cynical and does terrible harm to the our democracy.

It is described as the bottomless pit. This way they can say, "At least I am not as far down the bottomless pit as they are". Pointing to someone worse than them in their mind.
One of the Republicans mainstays I learned from the Reagan years was the GOP is not a political party. Like FOX is not a news outlet but a GOP propaganda network to profit.
The GOP is a entire profit organization that sells whatever hate and grievance for profit. Sure it elects GOPers pretending to be politicians. They simply use their elected positions to scam and profit for other criminal profit orientated organized crime syndicates.
They create, market and sell their latest thing. From John Birch, Religious right, TEA Party, QANON, MAGA and what ever the wealthy mad ad marketing comes up with.
This is what I call the, "Hoover" Plantation. It is the super wealthy that funds most of it. They learned from FDR and will do most anything to never be in that financial and power loss position again.
Knowledge can inoculate from this. It is why they make information so difficult to possess and earn. Why they keep promoting flat Earth beliefs to this day.
It is not about convincing anyone. They found they can fool and brainwash many. So when it comes to others that know better . Notice all the different approaches to what is opposition they employ? How hateful they demean . No, they will not discuss it intelligently.
Dominion lawsuit just fortified what we already knew. They will pay if they have to. The have purchase the Supreme Court to now appeal to. So owning the law can help them. But they will not stop.
