Professional Left Podcast #693

"If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack."

Good afternoon, Mr. Glass.

Finished listening to the podcast, and just thought I'd remind you that any attempt by the Democrats to "compromise" with Republicans on the safety net will be rewarded by Republicans shouting, "Democrats destroyed Social Security!"

Best to you and your loved ones.

One has to wonder a little just what it was that Republicans saw and heard when the state of the union speech aired. But only a little, because you just know that mostly they saw a criminal spouting lies.
Every time the stakes go up and "this time it's healthcare, so it's their very lives at stake" and they still do not respond to reality, we see the true lay of the land. Having lived through an addiction, I do have compassion for them, but also not much hope.
Meanwhile, the culture wars are still as ridiculous and dangerous as ever. In Montana the goddamn state legislature has a bill that would ban the teaching of scientific theories, and demand that only scientific fact be taught.
I can't even respond to idiocy on that level. Mental Toss Flycoon.
OK, a small confession. When you mentioned rainy day funds I missed Jerry Brown.
Sure, Gavin Reptile is a more progressive governor than Brown was, but Brown knew how to think ahead with the budget and not squander the surpluses on politics until the downturn hits and leaves you flat-footed.
Thank you again for the podcast. I will try to put some time aside for the other podcasts you have done, and if I succeed you will hear from me then.

Not sure how or why anyone would attempt to recap and address A religious woman who thinks all women should know their place and it is in the home serving her husband (and the mail man). Milk man , News paper boy.

Hey, she's in Arkansas.

It was the perfect rebuttal from the Huckster as she was talking directly to her base that noodle for Catfish by unzipping the pants in the water.

I will say this to anyone all concerned of Biden's age. Trump isn't a spring ringworm.
With Biden's age also comes his depth of experience in government. Something Obama realized when selecting him as his VP. Folks like VO Harris , I like and could do god, will have to live a lot longer to collect Biden's experience.

Remember this,
' Biden put baby (Paul Ryan) in the corner.
He took the corner red light away from Rudy by saying , Rudy is ,

And if swing voters are still comfortable with Biden, we could see gains in house and senate
