Area Rube Visits The Big City

Are America's savviest pundits still 100% sure that it was a no good, very bad idea for J.B. Pritzker to spend a little sofa change in the Illinois GOP primary reminding voters that Darren Bailey is too conservative for Illinois?

Because it sure look like Forced Birth Bailey is going out of his way to make sure he racks up a Lar Daly-size loss this fall.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:

High-rise in a ‘hellhole’? Republican Bailey living on North Michigan Avenue to ‘immerse’ himself in the city he keeps dissing

The GOP gubernatorial nominee, a downstate farmer and state senator, confirmed he’s living in Chicago while holding an impromptu news conference Tuesday. His campaign later confirmed he is renting in the building formerly known as the John Hancock Center.

From ArchPundit:

And if you don't know who Lar Daly was, well let's just say he was the ideal Forward Party candidate 65 years before there was a Forward Party.

For more information on Daly, either look him up or ask your cool uncle who lived in Chicago for years and years.

You are a master of old times.

Lar "America First" Daly ran for mayor of Chicago (many times) on the platform of giving drug dealers 24 hours to get out of town and then giving orders to the Police to shoot on sight. He often campaigned in an Uncle Sam outfit.

Bailey only lacks the Uncle Sam suit.

Can there be made available more talent shows and reality shows to content the dire need of being a celeb?

The need to be heard and seen no matter how awful the spectacle one makes of themselves is?

But then, who would watch them to give accolades to their appearances displayed?
There is YouTube but not everyone is capable or has the capabilities to use it.

There were were spoiled you children who dreamed big and wished even bigger. "Can I have a pony?"

many of this children grew into adult age without ever growing into adulthood.

Once upon a time, people had hobbies like collecting stamps because they enjoyed all the different stamps.
Now, the want to collect something that other people would want and be envious of just for the attention.

Well, of course they are. America's Savviest Pundits are always completely certain of the rightness of their Very Serious Opinions, because after all, they're the Very Serious People in the room.

That is, of course, until one such Very Serious Pundit magically discovers some tiny vestige of the voluminous evidence that the GOP has been going batshit crazy for the last 50+ years. At which point they have to have a "Gosh!" moment for the cameras, before they go back to bashing a Democrat.

It warms my cynical heart that the acronym for America's Savviest Pundits is "ASP." Perhaps it's a bit unfair to compare such vile, morally bankrupt humans to venomous snakes (the snakes at least have an ecological niche and purpose), but it seems apt.

If I see him on the street I will point and laugh. LOUDLY.

Bailey is rotting farm manure packed into a Sheriff Cornpone-accented white-supremacist skin-suit, and it's the hypocritical height of Trumpian-griftonomics that he and Mrs. Doubtfire are vacationing here for his campaign and living the Mag Mile posh life while slamming our hometown and smirking as he decries any association with Uihlein's heinous anti-Priztker ad. His mere presence on the teevee is execrable (the "mute" thumb is now almost as fast as a Jeopardy buzzer slap) and I can't believe we've got another two months of his garbage to deal with. Everyone detests him, he's like Ted Cruz that way. He knows he can't win so he's taking the paid holiday as a consolation prize.

O/T: why isn't Greg Abbott being investigated for interstate human trafficking?! CCSA, DOJ, anybody? That assclown needs to be slapped down if for nothing else than to show Bailey (and Desantis, too) that cruelty in the service of campaign politics isn't just unacceptable, but won't be tolerated. It's despicable. I'm so glad we're welcoming our new arrivals and trying to get them sorted but what happens if Abbott gets away with it? Desantis is watching. You think these monsters will have any apprehensions about forcibly moving large groups of people in the future, regardless of documentation? They're showing us what they will do. And this is the polite version. We need to put the kibosh on this NOW.
