OK, I sent you cat and dog pictures on the first of July. Did I do it wrong? Should I do it again differently somehow? They're mighty cute and wearing rainbow pride month leggings...
Lot of encouraging developments this week, trying not to be pessimistic about them. Andrew Yang can fuck right off.
Joe Seiders, the drummer for the New Pornographers opined on Twitter that there's a completely rock solid, 100% successful plan for not getting canceled.
Don’t act like a fucking asshole…
He said that in response to a goddamn Jonathan Turley column that claimed Clarence the fuck Thomas was a victim of cancel culture because GWU Law doesn't want him as a lecturer any more.
Maybe even law students are not big fans of fascism. Just a thought.
And to those nice folks who tell me that I should expose myself to viewpoints that I disagree with... How, exactly, to you think that I came to disagree with them in the first place?
Thank you again for the podcast. We own a car. A car manufactured in this century. This is a first for us, and we're adjusting to the shock by downloading the manual and figuring out how the thing works. Successes one and two involved the rear hatch and the navigation system.
Resources. Some look different than others. There's no way in hell we could afford to buy a 2007 Mazda if we weren't friends with Rob, who runs a wrecking yard and is the guy to go to for cars. He also got us our last car, a '92 Mercedes 190e, for $500. It needed a radiator and a head gasket, and lasted us five years, until Briana's crash back in April.
This one will set us back about $850, and seems to be in good working order, judging by the fact that Briana has already driven it across the state and back to get it here. The "and back" part is what the navigation system thing was about.
Four other words: "Give us your money."
