The fact that the Left was right about the Right all along is Kryptonite to goofs like Nicols. Which is why he becomes defensive almost to the point of hysteria when any Liberal shows up with receipts.
Because his whole schtick is that, whatever the subject, if he has an opinion about it, anyone who disagrees with him is an idiot, and any non-bluecheck who disagrees with him is an idiot peasant.
So how unbearable it must be for Mr. Expert Guy to get slapped around in public --

Being blocked by arrogant jerks like Nichols really ought to be a badge of honor.
The mindset makes me recall when I worked in a union at a company. Company had hired some new employees.
They had been trying to hire anti union minded people. You know, to unite the work force and make productivity higher, ( Not).
There was this one guy who first thing refuse to join the union. In a right to work state he was allowed.
He came from a non union job (his words), that didn't give a shit about employees, paid them shit, no health care or pension. They had no voice in what job the did for favoritism (to the suck ups) ruled.
I tried to convince him to join the union and he railed on about how the union screwed him when he was given a warning for bad attendance. Told me unions aren't helpful. I asked if he was prepared to go out in that free market and get one of those great non union jobs he bolstered of.
The right to work forced the union to represent him. It also allowed him not to pay for representation for our contracts and all that goes into negotiations to improve our benefits, pay and work conditions.
He felt entitled and let those idiots pay for that crap ands a improved contract negotiated was approved and he got to benefit from all of everyone else's efforts and union dues provided.
You see, he did a lot of Rush Limbaugh quoting and the best I could do is tell him have Rush represent you the next time you are brought in for poor attendance.
Of course he was eventually fired for bad attendance after the union got him prior leniency . He did not appreciate nor acknowledge.
When he cleaned out his locker . He ranted and yelled that the Union was punishing him for not paying dues. Filed a lawsuit against the union even though the company did the hiring and firing. His lawsuit was dismissed as frivolous with no factual basis.
The company admitted he was a hiring experiment and it was an anti union project/ What surprised me is, they management leaned their lesson to not disrupt productivity.
One thing for sure , he wanted to be known as a life ling hard core republican. The superior race thing.
it was always someone else's fault when he experienced failures in small and large issues. I do not know where he went after that, I do know think he would have to experience something very serious in his life that would alter his ways and cause him to self evaluate and make changes.
Ass holes need jobs to someone told me. I responded, " let those ass holes work somewhere else".
Tom Nichols attitude is very similar to the guy of my story.

When liberal guardians of conservatism use science to create a taxonomy for a contingent of grifters who ply the public plumbing to send waste into white enclaves creating vast roving hoards of murderous zombie meatbags and imbeciles, the right thing to do is argue with grifters on their forums on their terms!
However, liberal protectors of conservatism have to face what you have amply documented: in the long run zombie meatbag plumbing technicians will figure out your rhetoricall drain traps and backflow prevention flourishes and get the crap piped to you too.
No matter how Byzantine and clever plumbing becomes, it still works by gravity.
