"Yeah well Newt Gingrich is one of those figures, y'know, I look... I look back on, y'know, what happened and you think of y'know, what Sarah Palin being an inflection point, Newt Gingrich being an inflection point all of these things and... and yet it's hard to have predicted at the time that it was going to end up this particular way..."
-- Charlie Sykes to Dana Milbank one week ago.
"I... I have made this point, uh, over and over and over again without much success I... I think... but it's hard to overstate, um... the difficulty of saying that Donald Trump, he's the real thing. From "The Spirit of Giving" by the New Pornographers:
Overcome with the holiday spirit
Mark says the herald angels won't hear it
And remember the wolves that you run with are wolves
Don't forget
They exist to give you something to regret, I'll beat them to it
With something sadder than that brass portrait that shines through your morning din
With something sadder than that brass portrait that shines through your morning din
I'll give you something to be sad about
Hey the picture really captures your mouth
Poised to say:
It's your turn to go down now, it's your turn to go down now
It's your turn to go down now, it's your turn to go down now
In the spirit of giving in
-Doug in Sugar Pine

And if the wolves eat your flock, then you are just a peon who has nothing to donate to my political campaign.
SWEET...
