Why would any of these dead-enders care to even try and pretend their actually working towards a common goal of pushing back the hysteria on the right that they claim to see clearly as a threat to all of us? Hubris. Cowardice. Profiteering. Most of all, not giving the tiniest shit. They’re lazy assholes. Doing the hard work - chopping wood, carrying water - for the Democratic Party in order to actually make a difference and move votes to the left would be icky. They don’t want Dem majorities and their actions speak to that regardless of all the hand-waving and brosef bullshit talk.
Start openly advocating for Dem majorities or GTFO. As driftglass has said, this tent is big as hell and there’s plenty of room from Manchin to Sanders to fit ideologically amenable, forward thinking politicians stage left.
For 67 million they could produce stunning Superbowl quality, ingenious, videos. They could get talent from the ranks of Hollywood,
But their videos are garbage productions. Throw on a male voice actor who speaks in a "guns of war" state of urgency, with a similarly dramatic soundtrack, and do a collage of video clips that everyone who will see the video, has seen a thousand times. Add some patriotic imagery, flags, and the military. There's not an ounce of originality or style in the work and certainly nothing elevating or inspiring, their object is to produce a kind of angercumpilation.
Their skill set was always in the gutter. Nothing has changed.
There's this liberal subset who cheer and idiolize anyone who will say nasty things about Trump, as if they don't realize how very, very, easy it is to that.
