On the One Hand, Rodney Davis Has That Midwest Conservative Undescended Testicle Voice...

...that so many hard-eyed, local Republican real estate ladies and dyspeptic pharmacists find reassuring.  Because traditionally they like their sedition served room-temperature with a big slather of warm Velveeta cheese sauce on top.

On the other hand, when the Sangamon County Republican Party needs to fill their coffers by twitching the ganglia of the local wingnuts, they don't hold a Dwight Eisenhower costume contest or stage a Singing Senators reunion:

Oh my no.

They hire Candace Fucking Owens to come and inject the crazy straight into the local's veins. From me back in May of 2021 ("The Big Taunt Party"):

...Specifically this is about raising money for local Republican candidates, especially for down-ballot races like state representative, county circuit clerk and so forth where the party builds its bench.  And to raise money for local Republican candidates, you have to bring in someone that local Republicans want to cheer for.  And right now, local party officials believe that giving an unhinged Hitler-sympathizer and batshit conspiracy PEZ-dispenser like Candace Owens a microphone and putting her in the spotlight for one of their most high-profile annual fundraising events will raise money.

And they're right.  There'll be the basic ticket price, which will gross them $150K --

About 1,500 people are expected to attend the $100-a-person, sold-out event at the Bank of Springfield Center.

-- and there are the sponsorships and photo-op fees--

-- and, of course, there is the informal process of putting the additional bite on attendees that always happens off in the corners, and out in the hallways.

I'm assuming that everyone reading this blog knows what an absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel, assembled-from-Ann-Coulter-and-Ben-Shapiro-leftovers  hobgoblin Candace Owens is, but for the unlettered, the Journal-Register, to its credit, not only put some of Ms. Owens' more loathsome batshittery right up front in the second and third paragraphs --

Owens, 32, an author, a frequent guest on Fox News and prolific poster on Twitter, has said the 2020 presidential election that former president Donald Trump lost was “rigged,” COVID-19 is a “ridiculous scam,” Black Lives Matter is a “trash organization,” the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is a “disgusting group,” and white supremacy and white nationalism are “not a problem that is harming Black America.”

Owens, who is Black, told Fox News that former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who is white, was a victim of “mob justice” when he was convicted in the death of George Floyd, a Black man, and Floyd was a “pawn” in a political game.

-- but actually ran a second, parallel article ("What makes her so controversial") right next to this one in which they print a sampling of her Tweets...

And to be crystal clear, bringing in Owens to fire up the local Republicans was not a one-off.  As I wrote in my post, the year before the paid Owens to take the stage, they hired Jason Chaffetz, one-time congressperson and current Fox News troll.  Before that it was noted perjurist, unindicted Iran/Contra traitor, former NRA president and Fox News goon, Oliver North.  Before that it was Fox News in-house train-wreck/barfly,  Jeanine Pirro.  And so on.

The Sangamon County GOP knows perfectly well what the mob really wants.

And with the "Hitler had some good ideas" lady jumping into this year's Illinois 15th district Republican primary --

Miller, with Trump endorsement, will go head-to-head with Davis in 15th district primary

Rep. Mary Miller, R-Oakland, armed with an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, announced Saturday that she will challenge Rep. Rodney Davis of Taylorville in Illinois' newly drawn 15th U.S. Congressional District.

Miller said Trump "inspired" her to run in 2020...

-- looks like the mob will get what it wants, and get it good and hard.

First, what t is horribly sad ids that people living in America with all the country offers from sports, entertainment education and so many good causes some organizations offer. All the desperate calls for volunteers for good causes.

There are still people that are so lost and isolated in their souls that political fascism appeals greatly to. How they are made to feel at home, needed, wanted, praised to stroke the ego.

Help veterans, too hard. Save the whales, too distant. Work the soup kitchen for less fortunate, to filthy. Become a big brother, tell them to get boot straps.

What is in it for me to join and be part of something?
GOP will teach you the latest White supremacy sign language that only you and others will know. You can exasperate your hate of other people with haters just like you and justify each other to feel good momentarily. Until it bites back.

In your Rodney example, he cannot even carry a district crowd. To entertain on nonsense to avoid real hard issues.

They have to contract out their entertainment just like they have to contract out their selection of judges by the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society. That no republican average voter would be allowed to be part of.

All the serious thought of issues and actions is sent in by their wealthy owners. Don't think just do as they order and their owners will send contractors and executives of their organizations to orchestrate. Just do. They need not understand. They will be funded to have paid voices in their offices to bullshit for them so they do not have to..

When they purged their tree house club, it left the bottom of the barrel of monkeys that only know how to throw their poop at things to solve problems. And their recruiting scraped a hole in the bottom of that monkey barrels to get at even lower scum.

We need more cockroach motels. They really work. Just look at Devin Nunes who recently resigned congress to check in to the Trump cockroach motel.?

I read that Miller was running against Rodney Davis, and that her husband's truck with a 3 percenter decal on it had been spotted at the insurrection, so she probably a shoo-in, right?
