Thanks for leading me to watch the Nikole Hannah-Jones / Chuck Todd exchange. I do recommend watching the whole segment, because Hannah-Jones is so lucid and always on point! This is despite Todd's efforts to throw her off. Plug your ears while he's talking and listen carefully when she's talking.

Nikole Hannah-Jones was way nicer to Chunk the Toad than he had any right to expect, and she managed to tell much of the story she came with despite his preening, and he should be very glad she is the goddamn professional she is.
Had he bothered to read Black Twitter for a few seconds, he might have been better prepared.

2021 had one more round in its magazine, and got Betty White with it, but the outpouring on her behalf has been inspiring.
I feel like the weak and lame magical thinking may do us in. The vaccines, which were almost magical in their timing and effectiveness, didn't just make the virus go away and disappear, and there might have been a side effect or two, SO WE MUST REJECT THEM AND BUY MAGIC DIRT FROM A TOXIC LANDFILL FOR $110 FOR 4 OUNCES AND EAT THAT INSTEAD. Joe Biden doesn't have dictatorial powers over legislation, SO HE IS WEAK. The schools are now mostly majority-minority SO WE MUST BAN ANY TEACHING ABOUT RACE. Folks, I really hate to tell you this, but deliberately ignoring shit does not make it go away. I know this as I have tried it a time or two. A long time ago, or some shit.
Thank you again for the podcast. There is about four feet of snow on the ground, and we managed to get an Instacart delivery day before yesterday, so thank you Jason for braving Road 630 to bring us our food, when Kevin got to the top of Road 630 and bailed.
Snow in January is normal for this area, but two days ago it was hotter in a place in Alaska than it was in San Diego, there is still a wildfire burning in Colorado, and heat records were broken all over the damn place, and the doomsday glacier has given up the ghost.
Kinda doesn't feel like doomsday, though, but that's probably how they get you...
