I Am So Damn Confused

Is Ann "Hellmouth" Coulter our ally now?

On our team now?

Because since 2016 I have been repeatedly and sternly lectured by lots of my Liberal pals that the extremely dubious "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" protocol is now permanently in effect.  Specifically, once any Conservatives makes any gesture in the direction supporting some element of our ideals or even just stands in opposition to something the Bugfuck Right is up to, they are automatically absolved of all previous malignance and anyone who brings up their monstrously inconvenient past is prickly, small-minded asshole who Cleary Doesn't Understand The Stakes.

So, is Ms. Coulter officially an ally now? If so, then I will have to once again absent myself from the ranks of Lefties In Good Standing.  Just like I did when I began writing that Glenn Greenwald was not to be trusted and my "friends" dropped me faster than first period French.  Just like I did when I warned that the Lincoln Project was nothing more than political PornHub for credulous Liberals.

Because you may have noticed that one of the lesser-known codicils to this "enemy of my enemy is my friend" protocol is that respect is not required to be reciprocal.  A codicil which The Bulwark crew leans into almost every day as they go about angrily trashing the Left every bit as bitterly now as they did back when they were The Weekly Standard.

And any ally that jumps in the trenches with me only long enough to pick my pocket and stab me in the back is no ally at all.

These associations between seeming enemies is too frequent and this is the second time in Coulter's case. While her career as a Constitutional scholar, author, columnist, commentator and lecturer for the right is well known her less well known career as a transsexual prostitute lead some transsexual prostitutes to become defenders of her.

The chain smoking giraffe is not anybody's ally. If she's doing this she forgot what game she is playing. They will cast you out, and any of "us" that gives you shelter is a fucking asshole.

As Harold Washington asked "What are we? Some flotsam, some jetsam? That flows by the will of the stream?

Our Neo-allies have espoused and/or condemned whatever suits the paycheck du jour since the Coultergeist was bullying kids on the playground. Whatever is needed to keep the suckers from actually thinking for themselves...

I read that the Coutergeist was pissed off at Dump bc she either wanted him to bomb bomb bomb Afghanistan back to glass or totally GTO. Since he did neither, she then decided she hated him or something.

This debauched and weird entity is most def NOT our "friend." I could care less what she's shrieking about at any given time. She is a sadistic psychopath who apparently is chucking a giant temper tantrum - absolutely par for the course for the GQP - merely & only bc she didn't get "her way."

Eff the that schreeching harpy.

A good argument. I have to admit, I'm on the fence on the general question. Your examples are hard to dispute, and I could name another dozen that you could probably shoot down just as easily. But still I think, given where we are now, isn't it time for all hands on deck?

Not a chance. Just because her deep interests and our deep interests coincide *this* *once* doesn't make her an ally. Let her keep it up for a year, and we can talk about whether we'll say a nice word about her in the House of Commons.

Ann Coulter is no Josef Stalin, and that's selling Stalin short.

A product marketed by the GOP political party brain washing industry.
Made possible for wealthy authoritarians who will never forget what happened when Hoover replaced by FDR.

made possible by purchasing republicans to pass tax cuts so they do not have to use their own money to fund all this.

And the answer is NO!
There will be no costly courtesy flushing and we cannot afford a decent ventilation system for the latrine.

But since Working Americans are now paying the federal taxes and the wealthy aren't. We can afford all the war the GOP can get us into and sustain it for 20 years of profits for the industrial military complex.
