Another Tom Nichols "Oopsie"

Here we find Tom Nichols, the Pundit Supreme and Master of the Savvy Takes, in 2016 exploring 14,000,605 possible political futures and somehow never finding a single one in which the Republican Party ends up doing exactly what the Republican Party has always said it was going to do.

Spend enough time on social media and eventually Tom Nichols, the Pundit Supreme, will get around to explaining to you how so very much smarter he is than the stupid, alarmist Liberals and so, so very much smarter than stupid, knuckle-dragging Republicans.

Sure, ol' Tom never noticed that his Republican Party had been stocked to the rafters with bigots and imbeciles for decades until Trump came along, shoved ol' Tom's head in the Reality Toilet and gave him a political swirly, but ol' Tom airily dismisses his all of that because, you see, he lives in Massachusetts and therefor had no conceivable way of knowing anything about his own political party.

Also something something The 60s and Jimmy Carter, so why don't you just shaddap about it and accept the fact that ol' Tom is 100 times smarter than you or I will ever be.

Hell, maybe 200 time smarter.  After all ol' Tom is frequently paid to be on the teevee machine to underscore how much wiser and more insightful he is (Buy My Book!) than everyone else so it must be true.  If you doubt it, as I said, drop into Twitter and, eventually ol' Tom will get around to putting you in your place.  Often he will use little words because we are all so much stupider than ol' Tom.

For example, here is ol' Tom just a few years ago putting all of us idiots on "the left" in our place on the subject of abortion.

But I'm sure in ol' Tom's mind the revelation that, once again, Left has actually right been about the Right all along is just as tiring and trite as all the other such revelations, which are now piled high enough to blot out the sun.

Another trifling political rounding error to be airily dismissed because something something Teddy Roosevelt and the Hay–Bunau-Varilla Treaty.

*The tiring and trite post to which ol' Tom was referring is here.

Good afternoon, Mr. Glass.

Any chance this week's podcast will be called "SCOTUS Pilate," given its handling of the unpleasantness in Texas?

Best to you and your loved ones.

The GOP American Taliban lost power in D.C..

Will go to any extreme omissible or impossible to regain it.

Corporate are tolerant because of their tax cuts. I mean if they do not have to pay federal taxes for wars and veteran care. Why not turn to them for who they think should run government and just waive our votes.

The SCOTUS is still there and will protect the wealthy who require abortions for their mistresses (other reasons too) especially so a bastard child shall not have inheritance rights to their obey.
Just saying.
Not sure how 2nd amendment rights are going to clash with all these Abortion Taliban Texans. Because staling people is dangerous and creepy.

Since the law says anyone can file suit and their are o penalties for filing frivolous suits accusing abortion.

There should be law suits of this law on every single republican in Texas. male or female.

Need a slogan for it, "flood the courts"
