OK, I'll make this short because I gotta go up to a community meeting, but happy birthday Blue Gal.
I grew up in Humboldt County and the overgrounding of the pot economy seems to be harder than they imagined it to be when they legalized it here, but also, the whole community changed when the price went up above $2,000/lb after the 60 Minutes "Emerald Triangle" expose aired and thousands of clueless city dwellers descended upon the place with dollar signs in their eyes and cheap revolvers in their pockets.
Lost a couple of good friends that way.
So the money aspect of it is all important and also anathema to the spirit of the folks who are dedicated to the stuff.
Thank you again for the podcast, I'm off to do my civic duty.

Has anyone else noticed , as I have that the republican party everywhere it has power.
Is using that power in such a big ass government way?
If a state republican legislature has a majority , governor the whole bag.
It doesn't matter if 98 percent of Democrats want a say. It doesn't matter if 98 percent of republican citizen in the state want a say. it doesn't even matter if 98 percent of Dems, 98 percent of GOP and any and all independents and others combined want to have a say.
That GOP majority has become your ruler. Not your representative government.
