If Speaking Obvious, Ugly Truths About The GOP is Worth a Dozen Headlines a Day...

..., day after day, week after week, then why haven't Liberal bloggers dominated the front pages of every major newspaper for the past 20 years?

For example, this is Liz Cheney today:

“Every one of us who has sworn the oath must act to prevent the unraveling of our democracy. This is not about policy. This is not about partisanship. This is about our duty as Americans. Remaining silent and ignoring the lie emboldens the liar.  I will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the former President’s crusade to undermine our democracy.”

This is the Liberal blogosphere nearly 20 years ago:

“Every one of you who has sworn the oath must act to prevent the unraveling of our democracy. This is not about policy. This is not about partisanship. This is about our duty as Americans. Remaining silent and ignoring the lies about Iraq emboldens the liars.  We will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our country down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the Bush Administration's crusade to undermine our democracy.”

It's the old "only Nixon could go to China" I think, and with actual liberals allowed voice in the media, there's always the chance that they'll start remembering the past out loud and not sparing the finer feelings of those around them who did things in that remembered history.

Better, from the editors point of view, to allow someone who's hands are as dirty as their own to speak now clear and obvious truths, far less chance of them going off script.

trump is a reminder who they are, what they like, how they govern...embarrassing to have an accurate and clear mirror...

the usual play is 'the great forgetting'....nixon, bush; trump won't allow that.

What will the party that 100 Republicans want to form be called? If Boaty McBoatFace is not one of the choices, and that would be sad, can it be The Independent Constitutional Conservatives?

Or as Marx and Engals said: "It has resolved personal worth into exchange value, and in place of the numberless indefeasible chartered freedoms, has set up that single, unconscionable freedom — Free Trade... All fixed, fast-frozen relations, with their train of ancient and venerable prejudices and opinions, are swept away, all new-formed ones become antiquated before they can ossify. All that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and man is at last compelled to face with sober senses his real conditions of life, and his relations with his kind."

It occurred to me on my commute this morning that there has already been a stolen Presidential election. In 2000. And the Democrats endured it with dignity. We said it was bullshit, and an abuse of judicial process, which it was and still is. But there was a consensus that if the Supreme Court said George W Bush was President than he was. However much we didn't like it. And IRRC the Republicans staged a civil disturbance of sorts to disrupt the vote count. Not as impressive as their most recent one. A warm up. And what did our civility buy for us? What could have been better, what wreckage avoided by Al Gore being President instead? Surely we could have at least avoided "You've covered your ass. Now go find me something about Iraq."

Across the media is like a rerun of the Donald flooding the airwaves 24/7 in the 2016 election.

What are the GOP doing? McConnell reverts to his "ONLY republicans " can govern or in the GOP case, pass tax cuts . ram thru all the judges you can in your small GOP government and pretend to govern.

What is Liz Cheney doing today, About the Cheney repayment Stefanik? Kinzlinger sides with Liz.
GOP meet with Biden and lay out the GOP law that he can't do anything because they don't agree.
All of a sudden GOP has spending concerns.

Cannibals don't even cook Liz Cheney before feeding on her flesh/
GOP says liberals are committing cancel culture, while committing cancelling the GOP culture. Liberals are squelching free speech while republicans punish GOP member for speaking.

All this would be fine if the Dems would make exception on filibuster to pass voter right bill.

The GOP removed filibuster for SCOTUS. So Dems should exclude Filibuster from voter rights and civil rights.

By the way, As far as SCOTUS, there is no filibuster for Supremes so if the Dems confirm 4 justices to the SCOTUS. It should not be able to be filibustered .

Finally, If there is no filibuster to confirm a justice, there should be a simple majority to remove any justice.

Said the enemy of all low wage workers everywhere

Which side are you on boy?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on boy?
Which side are you on?

My daddy was a miner,
And I'm a miner's son,
“I’ll be with you fellow workers
Until this battle's won".

Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?

Oh workers can you stand it?
Oh tell me how you can?
Will you be a lousy scab
Or will you be a man?

Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?

Come all you good workers,
Good news to you I'll tell
Of how the good old union
Has come in here to dwell.

Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?

I may only make $7.25 per hour with no health insurance but at least I have an MBNA credit card ;)

I should add, There is more than history watching.

The past and the present is too.

Let alone the sane American people. If their are any corporations that are people as the SCOTUS says, they are watching too.
