Just realize when invoking , Bogart like this.

Both sides can enter the room. Meaning slapping and liking it goes both ways..

Both defined as two sides gets complicated when you watch the Three Stooges.

Like, both sides includes QANON, TEA or Star ship patriot republicans for Putin.

OK, a day late again this week because, you guessed it, the damn power went out Wednesday morning, a bit more than three days after it came on from the week it was out before then, only this time there's four fucking feet of snow. I'm a boy from the coast, god damn it, what's all of this slippery white stuff supposed to be about?

Anywho, Wednesday morning the poor electrical infrastructure so recently ravaged by those Mono winds couldn't deal with the volume of snow coming down and so we were in the cold and dark until yesterday afternoon, and no power means no internet so now I have all of that reading to try and catch up on...

So we can't exactly just say "We're Democrats, we're here, get used to it" when what we really need is for the damn fools to get out of our way while we fix the damage they did to the country so they will still have a country to keep trying to destroy.

Well, we could do that, I just don't have much faith in it working at all.

The media landscape is going to become an important existential fight in the attempt to save these here United States of America, because like Germany after the war, we now have a Nazi problem. Germany managed to re-integrate its way past their Nazi problem, for the most part, but they also got rid of most of the worst of the worst of them, either intentionally or by emigration.

We have seventy million potential Pig People to de-porkify back to functionality.

We won't get them all, or really, even most of them, but as long as they are so far removed from reality that a measurable fraction of them believe the world is controlled by cannibalistic pedophiles, there ain't gonna be a whole lot of "unity" with any of them. That's just the kind of "hyper-polarized" world we live in now: eighty million or so of us don't have much incentive to find common ground with our accusers.

So the information delivery environment will help dictate just how high the batshit quotient remains among those PPPs, and thus whether they stand any chance at all of German style re-integration into functional society.

It's kind of a scary situation, really, and none of my best invective seems able to even make a dent it it.

Thank you again for the podcast, perhaps tomorrow or the next day we can dig our way out of here, dig the car out, and go to town for groceries and stuff. The cat is utterly disgusted by our lack of attention to keeping him warm when the lights don't work and getting rid of the white stuff that he completely disappeared into when he crawled out of the window...
