Because I am a lout, amidst all the pity and terror of the past few days, I have shamefully neglected to note the most important anniversary of all: Blue Gal's 16th Blogiversary on Monday, November the 2nd.
For more years than most of us have been doing anything, my beautiful, brilliant wife has been holding up more than her portion of the sky with pithy, astute and deeply humane commentary on our life and times.
We're lucky to have her, and amazingly lucky that she has chosen to do what she does so well for so very long. I for one could not have made it through these parlous years without her.
