Today in Socialism for Plutocrats

From the Wall Street Journal:
Fed to Inject $1.5 Trillion in Bid to Prevent ‘Unusual Disruptions’ in Markets
Move designed to prevent ominous trading conditions stemming from the coronavirus outbreak

The Federal Reserve said it would inject more than $1.5 trillion of temporary liquidity into Wall Street on Thursday and Friday to prevent ominous trading conditions from creating a sharper economic contraction.
Senator Sanders now has a perfectly acceptable answer to the question of how Medicare For All would be paid for.  We can simply conjure the money out of thin air, just like the Fed is doing to bribe Wall Street not to wet the bed.

Republicanism Is The Greater Plague

It's more complicated than that. Although it is a racket. Nobody on this side, nobody, understands money and credit. Understands the mechanisms of it. They think it's some kind of magic understood by high priests. Oh sure, there is Krugman kibitzing around the edges but as he once said. Never question the money. Handy thing that.

It would take a normally intelligent person perhaps 90 days to get a grip on how the system works. If you don't put in the work, well..........................

I thought Mexico was paying. Maybe China (Chi-na) then? And why do I have the suspicion that this payroll tax break is just going to fuck up my withholding and make me owe next year? These payroll tax schemes are thought up by rich fucks whose SS deduction maxes out in February. They think it will work like that for us, and why wouldn't we be thrilled.
