That Thing Where You Turn the Wrong Corner...

...and suddenly realize you're in Hell.

This weekend The Bulwark held it's weekly staff meeting, called it the Very Big Important Conference on True Conservatism National Summit on Principled Conservatism and charged the rubes and rubberneckers $10 a throw to look at them in their natural habitat: sitting round a conference room table arguing about how many Reagans can dance on the head of a pin.

So what is "principled conservatism"?

Easy.

Principled conservatism is Alcoholic's Anonymous with an open bar.

To Conservatism!

The cause of... and solution to... all of life's problems.

I always viewed these sort of Conservatistical testical wang waving meets was more like,

Those traveling snake handling preachers sermons of If the poisonous snake doesn't bite my ass as I play around with it. I get to live and tell about it and how stable of a genius they are.
Until they get bit, and their child takes over the business.

Principled conservatism is an oxymoron -heavy on the last two syllables.

As a Fiscal conservative punished Americans during the Obama Adm over those principled fiscal thingies.

As soon as Trump got in. They borrowed $2 trillion while we were still in debt. To redistribute that money. After voting for that fiscal irresponsibility, he officially became a Constitutional Conservative.

Haven't received the US Conservative constitution to read yet. I do know they always stood on the principle that the Constitution is not a document that can be changed.
So it is tough to figure how the amendments after the Bill of Rights came to be?

I just know where ever they are or go or do, it is always principled. Because they say so.

So long Tweety.

I guess you're not in the same entitled club as Brooks.

You will be fine. You were paid a lot of dough. You will have more time to protect your money from Socialist Sanders, right?

I know the open slot will not bring a return of "Countdown". It might bring in new younger talent that doesn't freak out about NAZIS death camps and Social Security increases.
