Great show! Maybe DG can work up that wonderful "Never Again" graphic and share it with the rest of us? I see a potential addition to the Zazzle merch store...
Those young Republican warmongering chickenhawks always remind me of my dad, back in the sixties when footage of the Vietnam war was on the evening news during dinner. Whenever a US soldier would get shot or blown up the old man would lose his shit and start yelling at the TV that what was the guy with the camera doing out there not shooting at the enemy?
Red state politics are frustrating, and set to get weirder as the sporadic reactive backlash to horrible, horrible Republican policy failures begin to mix with the changing demographics of the country, not just racially, but also given the inexorable flight from rural to urban (that I have just reversed in a fit of contrarianism) meaning, I guess, that we should strike while the iron's hot if we want those folks to have health insurance. Which we do, even though it means that they will be alive longer and thus vote against us in more elections.
Thank you again for the podcast. The neighbor just gave the A-OK for Littlebeast to hang out with his cats, even though there was a minor fight the first time he did, so we're looking forward to getting some new pictures of all three cats to send you.

If Trump did not convince you with his ideal of POWS (like McCain ) are dishonorable scum.
If not convince yet, reconsider.
If Trump / GOP can hold that notion in its head and be down with it. If GOP representatives can be threatened losing their job, status, or be promised more cushy comforts to sit silently with that notion.
It is the same thing to believe that wounded soldiers are worthless and should be disdained as well.
You can include the soldier who hapened to get killed in battle. He was soft, weak, a lefty for allowing himself to get shot or blown up. Trump doesn't honor them.
He does go out of his way for rabid war criminal killers that went rogue and committed war crimes.
Even the survivors of military dead. The Gold Star families. Unless they are corrupt republicans, the gold star families are nasty people to shun.
Trump said he could shot and murder someone on Fifth Avenue in broad daylight and get away with it.
Well, he did. It just was at an Iraq Airport.
Have you accepted any of the multiple choice excuses Trump and his minions provided for justification of that strike? Which one do you like the most?
The "blood on his hands" is a dozzie. It depends on whose blood is on whose hands.
Like the American commander in charge of the American military in Saudi Arabia. "Defending the faith, the democracy, the human rights giver of Saudi.
Who happen to be in a battle with Yemen. Of course Trump acted decidedly by defying congress and selling weaponry to Saudi against congresses clear wishes.
Yet, an American commander in charge of our troops protecting Saudi and coordinating tactics for Saudi against Yemen.
sent a drone with American bombs and blew up a school bus with 40 dangerous children, all under 12 years of age.
Blood on the hands of that American commander? Should Iran assassinate him. sounds like he is a bad guy.
How about American Generals that recruited Irawi Militia to the Kurds to fight with us and kill who we think is in our way (our enemy).
Blood on their hands>
My GOP house member just voted "NO" to restrict presidential war powers.
My representative who is my voice in congress to this government. Voted to give a big part of his job away to the president.
He gave him Article I section 8 power to declare war.
But,
He wants to be my representative in congress. To be the voice of this district.
By giving away such a big chunk of his job away. You think he will accept a pay cut for doing less?
Most of all, if he does not hold on to his Article one section 8 authority. Then he has no say. No voice in the matter. Which means, everyone in the district he represents with his voice. Does not have a voice of representation on the matter.
But we pay for it all the same.
And this House Representative is republican, he is a retired base general. Who is running for reelection to represent us here.
He stands with Trump and only wants to act on issues if Trumptweets he wants something.
The people aren't included except for those unwanted military people I mentioned prior that Trump describes.
It is ashamed this ex general retired never got wounded, killed of captured. He might have been trashed by his beloved chosen one.
A year to go and maybe America can rid itself of this president at the polling booth on Fifth avenue in broad daylight.
Resistance has been overly tapped of it's energy for three years. This final year, I am adding my military training to resistance with "survive and operate".
Got to admit the temptation of excuses. One from VP Pence who publicly said the Iran General was responsible for 9/11 And GOP representative Doug Collins who blamed Pelosi democrats for loving Iranians, mu slims, terrorists, Satan, Hitler and all the snakes and snail and puppu dog tails..
Only later in both cases.
Pence sends tax payer funded staff to go to the media and moon walk it back.
And Collins being word bitch slapped in social media to backtrack.
I can tell when Trump and not forgetting republican in all. Are getting to my sanity and sense of decency.
When I start out with a one sentence post and it turns out to be a rant.
A rant that exceeds the allowed characters of your blog posing..
And find out when I click the publish .
