With Shocking Claims That NYT Politics Headline Writers Are Paint-Huffing, Serial-Manatee-Molesting, Clickbait Junkies...

...Liberal bloggers are employing unusually forceful messaging on NYT Politics headline writers craveness that has created challenges which The House of Sulzberger did not expect.

Now, given my normally sweet and easygoing disposition, you may fairly ask where this sudden vitriol coming from.

And I may fairly answer, from The New York Times on Twitter
I may also fairly surmise that whatever whoreson cullionly barber-monger is in charge of putting together this bull pizzle can't be much over the age of 12 or 13.  Because anyone past puberty and writing for the nation's newpaper of record would surely remember that the Right has been calling the Left baby-killers since forever.

Among the thousands of example going back decades, a few of the more infamous leap immediately to mind.

There was Newt Gingrich from as far back as a quarter of a century ago:
“I think that the mother killing the two children in South Carolina vividly reminds every American how sick the society is getting and how much we need to change things. The only way you get change is to vote Republican.
There was Bill O'Reilly, who used his dominant position on cable teevee to repeat the incantation of "Tiller the Baby Killer" until someone murdered Dr. Tiller, after which not a god damn thing happened to Bill O'Reilly until it became economically nonviable for Fox News to pay off all the women he had molested:

There was the last presidential election, in which each Republican candidate tried to outdo to next in reviving the idea of ancient slander of the Blood Libel

And my personal favorite is the case of Mr. Ramesh Ponnuru who now makes a living being a Very Serious Conservative Intellectual writing columns for Bloomberg decrying the coarsening of our public dialogue, but who go this start in the business hacking out standard-issue wingnut hit pieces for The National Review, and energetically flogging his Regnery press best-seller which is literally entitled --

-- "The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life".

I realize, of course, that in this age of sex robots and self-driving cars, expecting anyone with the exalted title of  "NYT Politics Headline Writers" to get their basic facts straight is old fashioned and silly.

Which is why I would never ask such a thing.

Instead I am humbly and respectfully asking you, NYT Politics Headline Writers, to just fuck right off.

Just fuck right off right now.

Behold, a Tip Jar!

Let's all remember Mike Royko but not with rose colored glasses. He was a giant bundle of resentments but somehow managed not so sign onto the biggest resentment of all, white resentment. Near his end when age and drink had beaten him down he started to fall prey rote 'conservative' resentment but somehow for some reason before that he had resented 'conservatives' most of all.

You left out Family Channel founder and Howdy-Doody-in-old-age-makeup Pat Robertson explaining, at the 1992 Republican National Convention, that feminism was "a socialist, anti-family movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians." Or else you remembered it but sensibly left it out, which would be a sign that the constant shitrain from the Noise Machine has not completely destroyed your gag reflex the way it has mine.

Okay,
stun gun won fun. So I walked away into this maze:
Dystopian. Future?

https://consentfactory.org/2019/05/08/an-excerpt-from-zone-23/

I kept my balance based on keeping in mind this beam I put in place years ago:

Every 'major' 'organized' world religion has its own calendar.
There is a one-to-one correspondence between religions and calendars.
Every religion has a calendar and every calendar has a religion. No religions have none, nor no calendars are floating loose.

What is a calendar? Nothing, really, just one day some people started counting. Day 1.

The longer it is counted up, the more years it goes on, then ... what?, the 'street cred' of it? Of the religion? Or, of the calendar?

The 'believability' of the religion's Creation myth? ...but they're all myths.
Or, the 'accuracy' of the count? Some count 'years' by passages of the Moon. Also, by the Sun, by Venus, (Mayan), and by Jupiter, (Confucians).

When the world somehow starts a new calendar (on some 'tomorrow'), then does a world religion start necessarily?

Such questions occur for coding computers in rockets headed off the Earth. What 'year' is it out there, such as to Mars?

I think brain evolution that developed 'number' words, (numeracy), caused religious thinking. Not the other way around.

Language is, say, 20,000 years ago. Numeracy is 10,000 years ago maybe. So before then people weren't religious but we were moral.

Funny thing is, in a limited way animals use language, can count, and are moral too. Moral meaning sense of judgment motivating action in fairness, equality, balance, or justice.

That's the high beam in my eye-beam. Or,
bridge over troubled waters.

Does anybody really know what time it is?
_______

p.s. The Bible has a Methusala character, like, 960 years old. What if that's a translation error counting Sun cycles but the original meant Moon cycles? 960 Moon cycles ('months') is about 80 years which was notably old-aged in Biblical time. Also he got married and had a baby at about 50 years old.

It's a damn shame that a so called liberal newspaper, much less one with the og weight of the NYT spews out this bilge water. Then again they've hired right wing as*holes on their editorial staff because they got suckered into the both sides do it narrative years ago. I grew up with the NYT but at this point it's hunting season on all of the media establishment. I go to "new" media for news and then mainstream outlets to see how the facts and thru stories are distorted and will be interpreted by most of the country.
