Howard Schultz 1.0

Remember when dirty Commie Medicare gonna kill us all?
"We are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free."  -- Ronald Reagan in 1961 warning about the dangers of Medicare.

It's not American. It's unaffordable." -- Howard Shultz in 2019 warning about the dangers of Medicare-for-All.
Because, to quote something William Faulkner very nearly said...
"The past isn’t dead and buried. In fact, it isn’t even past.:

Behold, a Tip Jar!

Like the Great Communicator's scariest words in the English language,
I am from the government and I am here to help"
Every republican are helping bail out Wall Street, GOP Tariff Trade war and besides all the Government welfare subsides. The loss of foreign profits from demanding their republicans get involved in the free market and rig it for American farmers. So everyone else must provide more bail out welfare for farmers. If you noticed, they did not apply that policy to the lazy out of paycheck furloughed shutdown workers in their hardship. Did they?

Every GOP Senator have promises from the super wealthy for hammocks when they collapse everything. I Sometimes I think they are preparing with their guns for everyone and everywhere, the survival food buckets being sold.

As for Reagan's foresight of Medicare.
There is something to his words. My mother died while she was on Medicare.

There again, My WW 2 Veteran Father died under the most socialized health care system, The V.A..
* Just think about it for a shallow minute. Why are everyone you know and love dying in their retired Medicare elderly years?????

Then again, Why didn't the insurance industry offer up a system of competition for retirement ?

Like flood insurance in flood plain designated areas. Why hasn't these private sector insurance companies invented a system of private insurance that works without Government, tax payer subsidies?

Look at all the farmers who die every year because of government farm subsidies. That is directly rooted in other peoples money funding it?

Most of all,
all those philanthropists funding all those charities who are killing people with their tax exempt status researching cures for Cancer to you name it.

Can't Reaganites or Trumpty Dumty's see this mass murdering virus?

Have they abandoned their faith? Have the Godless won?

Why am I destined to die on Medicare? When Charles and David Koch get to die on private health care? Why do we subject our brave Veterans to the scourge of socialized V.A. care to die

Dying under socialized health care paid for by everyone is supposed to be worse than dying without any health care.

Look,
They began this tear down of institutionalized employer health care, Pensions and busting unions and labors rights to the point things like Medicare (if you make it there) is the only option.
making these systems better is not a Citizens United era concern.

I have never understood this phrase:

"We are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free."

Freedom!

The Right keeps using that word and I have no idea what they mean!

"No, Sgt. Schultz, it's not 'both sides.'
Republicans ruined America.

real DailyBeast headline today.
Should have used present tense -- Republicans RUIN America. Clear and present danger.

Integrity Initiative

What is the I.I.? Asking both driftglass and greenwald.
Which one first reports a scoop of II facts?
And
What difference is there between their answers, if any?

---

I pay for health insurance.
I want to buy health care, not health insurance.
Take away the middleman between me and health care.

Make it like Social Security so payment is deducted from paycheck and when I need medical care I go and it's there with care waiting for me.

So here's my analogy, in counterpose.
Suppose there was retirement insurance. And you paid premiums each month.
Then, when time comes to retire, you ask your insurance company for your retirement benefits. And they say, 'we'll have to check and see if your social security retirement covers your condition.' And they get back to you and say, 'it only covers 80% of your retirement. You have a 20% co-pay of your retirement costs.'

Get the damn private for-profit insurance companies
OUT of in-between
me and my government programs.
