The WaPo vs The Capo

When it comes to this story --
Trump yanks Washington Post credentials
-- I think all right-thinking Americans can agree that, somehow, Both Sides must be equally to blame here.

Because if years of sheer, mind-numbing, sledgehammer repetition by the Beltway press has taught me anything, it is this:  No matter what the issue or how compelling the facts of the case may be, Both Side are always equally to blame for everything.

Wait. Can't we just thank BOTH SIDES because, you know, less coverage for he Trump..??

I don't know. Maybe because I have two hard working journalist brothers who are not on the editorial side of their paper/news agency and I know several WaPo reporters, I think we need to bette distinguish between the editorial side and the reporting side, especially with print journalism. TV/cable media is pretty much putrid at this point with the exception of PBS (IMO). Yes, there have been egregious violations especially in the run-up to the Iraq War and more recent events and political/defense reporters must especially be held to account since some of them slide ieasily nto opinionating (Dan Balz) but most others try to be straight reporters, IMO. OK, also some nationally well-known economic reporters are in the bag (Andrew Sorkin looking at you.) Point is not all journos are bad just the ones and paid for.

"Both" sides are "bad," but one side is WORSE, and I'm not on the side of WORSE.

PS: I found "The Dirty Fucking Hippies Were Right"!

I'm sure Ron "Severe Dementia" Fournier and his miserable murder of centrist charlatans will be along shortly to explain how Hillary's disdain for giving press conferences is EXACTLY THE SAME as Trump yanking the 2nd-most famous newspaper's credentials.

Or, you know, they can always go the "she had an email server so she's worse than Hitler" route if the above is too risky.

Good morning, Mr. Glass.

It's times like these when I think of Palpatine sending Anakin to Mustafar to kill off all the people who helped Palpatine rise to power...and the desperate looks on their faces when they realized they weren't in a two-way relationship with Palpatine.

"But Lord Sidious...promised us access...and ratings..."

Be seeing you.

Uh, I'll take "asshole's damning quotes" for 400, Alex:

Drumpf's saying that Obama, regarding terrorism, "...doesn't get it or, or he gets it better than anybody understands...", and his saying Obama, in dealing with this issue is "...not tough, not smart, or has something else in mind. The something else in mind – people can’t believe it. They can’t believe he’s acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’ There’s something going on.”

"gets it better than anybody understands" "has something else in mind" and "there's something going on"....

Even in the context of a Drumpf interview, which often resembles talking to an easily distracted child, it's evident that Don the Con was indeed at least implying some sort of potential complicity on Obama's part.

Shit, I didn't put that in the form of a question!

'Yanks their credentials'? WTF does that mean? Is he going to get the Secret Service to shoot them?

Trump continues to play to the mob of birfer bigots. But somehow that's all the fault of both sides, and what's more it's really really really more the fault of Obama and the dirty hippie lib'ruls. Just because.

Yesterday on NPR, they had bit about how Jake Tapper was actually acting sorta kinda like real journalist/reporter and attempting to force Trump to answer questions about his out loud and real proud bigotry - with Trump, of course, weaseling away. It was real face-palm time for me because NPR was basically "reporting" on some other "nooz" person attempting put on their Big Boy pants and, ya know, behave like the Adult in the Room.

Sheesh. The depths to which we've sunk, esp in the 4th estate.

Trump has always said that: a) Obama is a Kenyan Muslim extremist, b) that he's supporting ISIS or whatever group is the evil bad guy of the moment wearing the black hat (sometimes Trump mixes their names up), and c) that he, Trump, knows exactly how to "fix" things - but never elaborates on this. Trump has publically stated that he likes his fans to be dumb. Is it any wonder?

Donald Trump gets to bring on the birther theory again, for those of us that didn't get enough.
