"Even David Brooks..."

QUEENBOBO_SM

One of the many services Our Mr. Brooks provides his wingnut colleagues everywhere in the Great American Pundit Media ecosystem is to act as a tip-of-the-spear delivery system for their otherwise transparently ludicrous idiocy.

For example, here, Jennifer Rubin -- one of Fred Hiatt's many in-house neocon finger-puppets* -- haz a big, ol' sad about how awful and cheap and totally unfair it was for Barack Obama to list  "Reopening  George W. Bush's closed-book on Osama bin Laden" and "deciding to kill Osama bin Laden" on his resume.

Of course she can't just say that, lest she remind her readers that she is mostly a demented, bottom-feeding neocon troll, so instead...
Debasing the presidency has a cost

By Jennifer Rubin

Suffice it to say that when David Brooks, my colleague Dana Milbank and President George W. Bush’s attorney general Michael Mukasey all agree that President Obama is going overboard on partisanship, the president might want to reconsider if he’s misjudged the public’s appetite for partisanship.

Brooks bemoans the tenor of the entire campaign, but this is as tough a rebuke of the president as he has leveled: “Part of the ad was Bill Clinton effectively talking about the decision to kill the terrorist. But, in the middle, the Obama people threw in a low-minded attack on Romney. The slam made Clinton look small, it made Obama look small, it turned a moment of genuine accomplishment into a political ploy, but it did follow the rules of gangland: At every second attack, at every opportunity, drive a shiv between the ribs.”

From philosopher-king to thug in less than four years. It’s something when those who once held you in the highest esteem are now the most biting critics.
...

Of course, the only place where Ms. Rubin's amazingly stupid critique of President Obama might make a lick of sense (especially coming as it does out of the face-hole of yet another of American media's  horribly discredited neoconservative media propaganda slingers) is in an alternate universe where the Bush Administration never happened, and where neoconservative media stenographers did not spend eight years hauling uncountable thousands of metric tons of water for the most catastrophically failed Administration in modern American history because American  began on January 20, 2009.

And it is Our Mr. Brooks who consistently provides to his Conservatives colleagues a New York Times stretch limo service to and from that alternate universe.

*(From Wikipedia:
"Rubin's political views are widely characterized as conservative She was also called a supporter of Tea Party movement. She has opposed Barack Obama on multiple occasions, calling him “the most anti-Israel U.S. president (ever),” and writing that “Obama isn’t moderate, doesn’t like the free market, and isn’t interested in waging a robust war on Islamic fundamentalists.” Rubin consistently supports the Likud government and other conservative factions in Israel, and has been a harsh critic of Hamas and of the PLO leadership.")

Suffice it to say, when three Republicans agree on something, it must be true!

Fuck. If we could get the Obama Administration in such a mindset from now until election day, I'd be the happiest guy on Earth. That's like my liberal dream.

As goes David Brooks, Dana Milbank and Michael Mukasey, so goes the nation. If Obama's not careful, Dana Milbank will go back to his old custom on election day: Voting for republicans who are dead and/or not on the ballot. And then you'll be sorry!

What I have yet to see is anyone asking the question, can you frickin' imagine what these same people would be saying right now had it been Grampa McCain who had pulled the trigger?

We would be in the middle of a political touchdown dance such as to make the Dirty Bird look like something out of Jane Austen.

HE'S DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!

Everytime I hear this civilty whine -I'm constantly reminded of the musical 1776 duiring the debate over the wording of the Decleration of Independece some members are concered that the language might be offensive at which point John Adams explodes "This is a revolution damnit we're going to have to offend somebody!"

for 30 years members of the Democratic party running for election have endured attacks on their morality, their love or country, their sexuality, the courage, their service record in the military - they've been called communists, tratiors, Keynans and the betway community hasn't said a word. Obama points out that Romeny's words show him to at best a weathervane and at worst a dickless wonder unable to take a risk and all of a sudden we have a civilty problem.
fuck them .

Obama "doesn't like the free market," but Rubin believes neocon ideology that Israel should be heavily-subsidized by the American taxpayer, financially and militarily, til the end of time.
