Commander #1: We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger. Should I have your ship standing by?
Governor Tarkin: Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.

I haven't even listened to the actual podcast yet, but I thought I would venture an answer to your rhetorical question in the introductory blurb: They get away with it because they have enablers up the ol' wazoo in the corporate media who never, ever call them on anything.
As I said in my off-the-cuff snark last week, the teabagger philosophy of life has a great deal in common with that of Anton Lavey's Church of Satan. Read Lavey's The Satanic Bible if you doubt what I'm saying. (Though in fairness, I should point out that Laveyan Satanism is not "devil-worship" in the old-fashioned sense.)
Great show, as always.
Minor quibble: No mention of Irving Kristol -- father of Bill and bootlicker of Leo Strauss?
