Commander #1: We've analyzed their attack, sir, and there is a danger. Should I have your ship standing by?
Governor Tarkin: Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.

Ep 123 Conspiracies from Ayn Rand, Saul Alinsky...and Dan Savage?
We stand agog that Rick Santorum dropped out of the race for President this week...seems like months ago. And why do conservatives ignore Ayn Rand’s rampant anti-Christian message, and why do they get away with that? More at ProfessionalLeft.blogspot.com

I haven't even listened to the actual podcast yet, but I thought I would venture an answer to your rhetorical question in the introductory blurb: They get away with it because they have enablers up the ol' wazoo in the corporate media who never, ever call them on anything.
As I said in my off-the-cuff snark last week, the teabagger philosophy of life has a great deal in common with that of Anton Lavey's Church of Satan. Read Lavey's The Satanic Bible if you doubt what I'm saying. (Though in fairness, I should point out that Laveyan Satanism is not "devil-worship" in the old-fashioned sense.)
Great show, as always.
Minor quibble: No mention of Irving Kristol -- father of Bill and bootlicker of Leo Strauss?
