You've got to feel just a little bit sorry for poor Alan Keyes.

A rising star in the Party of God just six short years ago, today nobody spends media bandwidth speculating what Mr. Keyes' next move might be, or wonders if he is going to roll into Chicago to run for Mayor, or holds off pooping for another five minutes because he might be tweeting his latest pronouncements any second now and we'd just die if we missed them!

And yet, ever since he was tossed into the 2004 Illinois Senate race as the Republicans' desperation, "Break Glass In Case We Need A Black Guy" candidate (where he was subsequently wiped off the map by the Democratic candidate

in that race) he has been forced to watch from the sidelines as others get rich from his early, breakthrough innovations in loony, conspiratorial ranting.

Still, he seems to be managing to keep busy and turn a buck or two...

Judging by the treatment of U.S. Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell in Delaware the elite hacks of the sham two-party system are determined that the outcome of the 2010 election should send a clear message to the grassroots Americans who are reacting against the elite betrayal of their nation and its principles: when it comes to running for office people who believe as they do, and have troubles like theirs, need not apply.
