As Parts of the World Collapse

Both literally

And figuratively

Obscenely wealthy

white American men

continue to bitch

publicly

about

money.

We live in hell.

Blankfein did himself no favors today, but did anyone expect otherwise? Mack seemed to be the most clue-in. Dimon was somewhere in between.

But yes, all these people can go straight to tell.

Tell it, brother.

And take names.

BTW, thanks for the link love the other day.

The chart you posted of employment is a bit misleading because it's based on the raw number of jobs lost. As population grows the number of jobs lost will always be higher. If you posted that chart and included the Great Depression, this downturn would look far worse than even that.

There are better charts out there that show that this downturn is worse, but that don't make it look so catastrophic as the chart you've posted above.

Sterno, as we know, Obama is already, in good bushian style, fucking with the numbers to show that there are lots of "new jobs" being created.

I would suggest that if anyone gets out to main street (not Wall Street...) and checks out the status, well-being, and the MOOD of poor and working-class americans, there won't be much ambiguity about it.

Which, I happen to think, is going to be illustrated with pellucid clarity, along about the mid-terms.

One hopes so. But that means people actually have to go vote. And right now, I think a great number of them are still smarting from the lesson delivered since November 2008. That is, you vote for CHANGE and get nunthi.

Nothing except 2.8 MILLION foreclosures and strutting peacock MOTUs bitching about paying some back. With a whole bevy of bought and paid for lobbyists-in-waiting screeching chimps flinging their feces around to boot.

I'm with bustendknuckles; somethings gotta break. But who or what will it be? Or patience... or our will to fight back any longer?

I'm thinking (hoping) were going to see the end of the 2 party system. What's the sense of voting for D's if they are only slightly less R?

The moving money to Local Banks notion seems to be getting traction; maybe people will stop shopping Big Box stores and switch to local companies? It would be interesting.

Because they are much less R. Compare Clinton and Bush. Obama and McCain. Imagine a round of new tax cuts for the rich this year, instead of Bush's tax cuts expiring.

When the malignant evil of the republican party is utterly destroyed, we'll be a one-party system. We'll need another party. Presumably it'll be to the democrats' left. Then you can vote for who you want again.

steeve - because full R is how we got here and the only thing left to do is go full D on their asses. Let's begin that.
