You're a resident of the Who-niverse too, huh? I should have suspected with your boundless and impeccable taste.
The word I get is that a gentleman named Paterson Joseph is set to take over the role. I liked Tennant well enough...he just always seemed a little young. I loved Eccleson and really do wish he'd decided to stay a little longer. Of the older Doctors, I thought Pertwee was delightful, although the Venusian karate was a bit much. My favorite, naturally, is Tom Baker...whom you pictured...
Suffering serious SMMC withdrawls here....Jonesing, ya know? Hep me! Will shill for morsels...
Each new Doctor has pissed off fans of the last. The franchise has ebbed and flowed. Destroying virtual enemies with style. Saving planets with aplomb.
Implying that the Shrub is BAKER?!?!? That's not cricket.
Anon: Thanks and a tip of the halo for the straight dope. My incorrect info came by way of some Welsh cherubs who were relying too heavily on old, questionable rumors. (Dad-ratted gremlins must have gotten into the ductwork again...)
Rehctaw: We long-time watchers(!) have adopted a bit of the Gallifreyan overview: There are good and bad points about EVERY Doctor...and personal preferences are, well, just personal preferences.

The Daleks always did remind me of neocons.
So you're saying Bush was a previous doctor?
I'm thinking Jim Broadbent in Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death.
Angel of Mercy: The Eleventh Doctor was announced last weekend by the BBC; he's an actor named Matt Smith.

Did you all catch the Dr Who Star Trek mashup? I saw it over at Olivers' place last week.
