Rare "Republicanis Rationalis" Spotted

From Reuters:
Tiny, long-lost primate rediscovered in Indonesia

By Will Dunham

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – On a misty mountaintop on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, scientists for the first time in more than eight decades have observed a living pygmy tarsier, one of the planet's smallest and rarest primates.

Over a two-month period, the scientists used nets to trap three furry, mouse-sized pygmy tarsiers -- two males and one female -- on Mt. Rore Katimbo in Lore Lindu National Park in central Sulawesi, the researchers said on Tuesday.

They spotted a fourth one that got away.
...
The one that got away was later seen on "Charlie Rose" squeaking out "You know...it is just possible that tax cuts aren't the solution to every problem."

After which Rush Limbaugh beat it to death with his shoe.

And then there were three.

Thanks for the laugh and the upcoming keyboard replacement.

These things happen, but not often enough.

It has pretty much come to this.

Cute little thing, though. Nice to know we haven't killed off every species yet, gives me a little hope this morning.

We of the pygmy tarsier monkey anti-defamation league STRONGLY object to this amazing species being linked to reptiles.

And you wonder why they've withdrawn and hidden from man? "Squiggums", the fourth monkey to which you allude was part of a four Tarsier envoy sent in response to cries for help from your state department.

He was the guide. Doctors Mimi, Moe and Iggy were subjected to cruel and insimian treatment at the hands of their captors. Tagged, chipped and still groggy from the sedatives upon return, they were a threat to Tarsier security and banished.

A formal complaint has been filed.

Did Rush really do that?

Poor David Brooks. He will be missed.
