Yet again, brother DG, I find myself wondering if you aren't a long lost relative. I first came to appreciate the genius of Groucho when I was in college, at many a late-night film festival, mixed judiciously with the proper stimulants of course.
It would be impossible to beat the original. The one, the only, GROUCHO!
Was going to be my two fer, but...
Congress should adopt his "Whatever it is, I'm against it" as theme for anything emanating from the lame duck. Including his $163 Billion for Iraq (and etceteras). Conceivably, they could make the Bushies come, hat in hand, every day for their operating expenses. (A move sure to boost CSpan ratings and provide respite from the ceaseless primary blatherings on 24/7 x 10 channels noise.
Then for a little humor/insight the Tuitsy-Fruitsy bit. "You no gotta a Breeder's Code Book?"
I'd post the links, but fans can just run the loops in their head. Besides, I have to go put my $2 on Sun-up!
i have the marx brothers on dvd, they never fail me. even when i know the jokes are coming from miles away they still make me laugh. like in "monkey business" when groucho and chico are leaning on the rail of the cruise ship looking out over the water. groucho startles and points and says "hey! is that a u-boat?" chico says "itsa no belong a me!"
When Gulf War One started in 1991, I watched news footage of planes taking off from Saudi Arabia and all I could think of was "Freedonia's Going to War!" from 'Duck Soup, along with the fact that Bush #1 would have made a great Rufus T. Firefly.

Such genius is sorely lacking in today's world.

Gary I was going to say the same thing. I'm struck by the consummate professionalism of the hilarity! Even Harpo has not a hair out of place, ha.
