Meanwhile, at the Duncan Hunter Residence...

...Mr & Mrs Republican Family Values have hit a little speed bump.

From The New York Times:
The Indictment of Duncan Hunter, Explained

Prosecutors claim Representative Duncan Hunter and his wife spent over $250,000 of campaign funds on personal items. Here is an explanation of the indictment filed on Tuesday...
One, small snip from this surreal 47-page nuke that just landed on one of Donald Trump's earliest and most fervent supporter:
Prosecutors said Mrs. Hunter advised her husband to claim that his spending was actually a charitable donation, apparently referencing one of the many organizations that serve wounded veterans.
116) On or about March 20, 2015, when DUNCAN HUNTER told MARGARET HUNTER that he was planning “to buy my Hawaii shorts” but had run out of money, she counseled him to buy the shorts at a golf pro shop so that they could falsely describe the purchase later as “some [golf] balls for the wounded warriors.”

119) On or about April 7, 2015, in Lahaina, Hawaii, the HUNTERS spent $6,288.74 in Campaign funds at the Aston Kaanapali Shores resort to pay for a family vacation
And like every other Republican cornered rat, Hunter blames the Libtards and the media:

From the Washington Post:
The Daily 202: Duncan Hunter embraces the smash-mouth tactics Trump learned from Roy Cohn

...
Hunter sounded downright Trumpian when a reporter from KGTV, the San Diego ABC affiliate, caught up with him yesterday as he prepared to board a boat for a fishing expedition. “We’re excited about going to trial with this, frankly,” Hunter said. “This is modern politics and modern media mixed in with law enforcement that has a political agenda. That’s the new Department of Justice. This is the Democrats’ arm of law enforcement, that’s what’s happening right now. It’s happening with Trump. It’s happening with me. We’re going to fight through it and win. … They can try to have a political agenda as our law enforcement, as a U.S. government … as we’ve seen with [former FBI agent Peter] Strzok, and with what the FBI and DOJ have been doing. Let them expose themselves for what they are: a politically motivated group of folks.”
Duncan Hunter Sr., who accompanied his son yesterday and held the seat until he gave it up to run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008, added: “It's politically motivated by hardcore Democrats who want to get Duncan Hunter out of Congress.”

The idea of Republican "Family Values" only makes sense if you mean the Gotti Family.

Behold, a Tip Jar!

I read where Duck'n Hunter has cracked the case. It wasn't his illegal activities that that is the problem. It is the Deep State that is responsible for pointing it out.

You know, after robbing that bank and getting away with it. I was going along living well minding my own business when all of a sudden, some crackpot investigator links me to the bank job and arrests me

The Deep State, Nancy Pelosi nor FDR is responsible as Duc'n Hunter would have you accept.
it is the fault of the , Thundershirt-Anxiety-Jacket- (for nervous dogs and scared criminals).

And Trump represents the Thundershirt anxiety jacket. President distraction and investigation magnet draws all the attention to make them feel comfortably un noticed.

Kinda reminds me of when DeLay was caught and accused them of "trying to criminalize politics"...

I live in San Diego - come visit sometime! - and we've been following this in our local paper since April 2016 when the paper's "Watchdog" section started reporting on the irregularities. They were warned off these spending activities over a year ago and just kept doing it.

"Deep State" my a**. The local federal prosecutor is a Trump appointee. Sessions probably *could* stop the investigation. I can't wait for this to go to trial.

Also, because of California law about ballots and primaries, the Republicans can't put anyone else on the ballot. My morning coffee buddies, which includes a couple of conservatives and (still) Trump supporters all think Hunter still has a better than 50:50 chance of getting elected.

" think Hunter still has a better than 50:50 chance of getting elected. "

If you know personally these folks that will vote for Duck'n and cover Hunter knowing this.
Then you understand perfectly the mindset of the Jim Jones followers who devoutly drank the Kool aid when asked.
I wish you the best, if you attempt to intervene before they swallow , (again).
