Pointing proudly to his 228th consecutive New York Times Pundit of The Month plaque, Mr. David Brooks put his arm around Young Ezra Klein and whispered, "Look, kid, if you stick to gassy generalities, saccharine pieties and blaming Both Sides, you too can be there for-ever."
Clearly Young Ezra has taken that advice to heart.

Sheezus I've really taken a tremendous dislike for Ezra Klein. I'm not sure if it's the naked careerism, the laughable attempts at being a centrist or just how fucking disingenuous he is and getting rewarded for it. I see how you can make the connection between Brooks and Klein. It's people like this that will undermine DSA candidates far more than Republicans. Fucking snakes.
What you have to remember is that Ezra Klein is part of the precious darlings group that brought us McMegan and MattY (and, less directly, Bari Weiss). They were shown where their bread was buttered very early on.
