You may have noticed that over the past 10 years or so, actual Liberals (who had the poor taste to have been loudly right about the Right all along) were elbowed aside while recently former Republicans (who hadn't just been wrong about the Right all along, but had been the eager handmaidens of the forces that created Trump) were anointed by their pals in the media as the Voice of the Resistance.
And from their newly bestowed commanding heights within the media, these Never Trumpers handed down a new set of Democracy Alliance Commandments to us little people.
Those commandments included...
The pasts of these arrivistes -- even their immediate horrendous pasts - are irrelevant!
Daring to interrogate that past in any way is destructive to The Cause.
Mouthy Liberals asking them to apologize for building careers slandering them in the most despicable ways imaginable is rude and petty and destructive to The Cause.
All that matters is the Present! All that matters is that they're with us now!
So I am moved to wonder why those very clear and strictly enforced Never Trump Commandments...

OP hose that refuses oversight and will pass anything the president demands including tax dollars and racking up the national debt.
We can all see where this is leading and it is worse than we all can imagine. Not to worry, billionaires will have their Kushner elite home on that Albania island they are developing. Safe from the zombie hordes and we are the horde.
Say Dems take majority control of the House of Reps. Sure they can investigate, perform oversight, cease the whimsical lefislation the President demands. They can stop frivolous spending They can subpoena witnesses and refer criminal acts to the DOJ for further action,
A Dem majority house can not force the DOJ's AG to take any actions on crimes, They won't get the AG to prosecute for witnesses defying subpoenas or perjuring themselves. They can't stop the president from redirecting funds legislated for specific purpose ( military funding taken to fund his ballroom construction).
The House could impeach the president but is there enough votes in the senate? Would the SCOTUS (6) declare impeachment is unconstitutional.
If theyDems also take majority control of the Senate.
They can control confirmations of judges to cabinet members.. hey can block frivolous spending like the house dems but again, cannot stop the Prez from redirecting allocated spending he already has to whatever he wants. They can perform oversight and subpoena witnesses. Again, the DOJ's
Defying subpoenas will be lawful for this SCOTUS.
With assured pardons for all criminals will AG will not perform anu Dem requests. SCOTUS (6) will take cases and make up new laws to enable the Prez to defy congress's will.
There are a few things that can be done meaningfully. One of those things would be to not fund anything. No one gets paid, no money for the Prez to funnel into his pocket or his pals wallets. He can;t subsidize Elon's Space X ( which tax dollars funds 40% of Elon's rocket company operations. 40% would make Elon as concerned as Susan Collins.
DOG's AG will not prosecute perjurers and subpoena defying fools. Do not fund the DOJ I know, I know. This will let crime run rampant. Bit it is already. It could mean having to fund farm subsidies that only reach Dem farmer voters as the Prz and Dems have done so the GOP voting Farmers feel the pain others do without that GOP assured bail out coming.
There is not two thirds to impeach and no matter what the prez can do what he pleases. A veto over ride from House and senate to force the Prez's signature is unlikely.
But there will be no reconciliation spending sprees.
There is a lot they can stop from happening. How much can they change the insidious right wing MAGA-AKristo-NAZI corrupt greedy Zombie hordes and their pied Pipers?
There can be a large amount of relief from from the fights diabolical agenda. But reversing them and setting it on the correct course is another
