Congrats on an impressive milestone - here's to 1000 more! Been listening since the beginning. (And am kicking myself: I can't remember the original closing tune now. Not that it should matter, but still..)
Best to you DG & BG, appreciate all you do. Keep up the great work! -Mike in CA
p.s. Funny timing; just today in my YT wanderings (maybe an hour before cueing up your podcast), I came across some clips of people flying drones into tornadoes. Wow.
Tornadoes? Shit, my family moved out of the tornado belt (Oklahoma) the year before I was born. Then all of my uncles and cousins freaked out because we lived in California where there are earthquakes. I found that curious, as they all had underground tornado shelters. Imagine my amusement when Oklahoma surpassed California in >3 point earthquakes in the mid-2010s as a result of fracking, and then the sense of irony when California started to regularly have tornadoes because of climate change... "If ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise" never worked, and the folks we're talking about would ever admit to subscribing to it anyway, so we're back to intellectual honesty again, a lonely barren place these days. Thank you again for the podcast, and congratulations on a thousand episodes. I think I've heard them all, or if I missed a few they were in 2013 when we didn't have internet for a few months. Briana downloaded a bunch of them at our friends' warehouse and brought them to me on flash drives, but I don't know whether she got them all. She probably did.
To admit, I can watch the FOX or right wing media and never get a thought provoke like I do tuning in to the Pro Left.
Special request; Now that the Obama presidential library opened and it happens to be in your back yard. I do expect you to adventure the offering and report back to us.
